Plastic prohibition campaign was run in various stations of the division under Swachhta Pakhwada.

Raipur. Swachhta Abhiyan is being run by Indian Railways under Swachh Rail Swachh Bharat. In this Swachhta Pakhwada organized from 01 October to 15 October, various programs are being organized in Raipur Division of South East Central Railway according to the theme of each day. In this sequence, many important steps were taken today by Raipur Division with the aim of reducing plastic waste at various railway stations of the division. In this sequence, the maintenance and work of plastic bottle crushing machines installed at railway stations was reviewed. With the help of these machines, plastic bottles used by passengers can be disposed of properly. During this, the nominated officers motivated the passengers not to use single use plastic and also communicated with the passengers of the station and trains and urged them to participate in keeping the trains and railway premises clean and adopt cleanliness in their daily lives. The main objective of this campaign is to end the use of single use plastic. In this direction, the division launched a massive campaign to raise awareness, in which passengers, catering stall and other station users were sensitized about the dangers of single-use plastic. They were urged to be conscious of cleanliness and environmental protection by not using single-use plastic.
Along with this, feedback was taken by establishing direct communication with passengers at all major stations and trains of the division and they were also urged to ensure participation in cleanliness.
