Arang area of Raipur district: In Arang area of Raipur district, the administration has finally taken strict action against illegal sand mining and its transportation. A chain mountain machine and two Hiva trucks filled with sand were seized by raiding the sand mine of Hardidih late at night. This action was taken by the team of Naib Tehsildar Samoda Gajanand Sidar and Mineral Department Supervisor Sunil Dutt Sharma on Tuesday night. After the seizure, the machine and both the trucks have been kept in Arang police station.
It is being told that these days complaints of illegal sand mining and its transportation were continuously coming in the areas around Arang. Especially the process of extracting sand from Mahanadi was going on without any permission. At the same time, some sources also say that some sand mines of the area have also been auctioned illegally. For this, some villagers have been silenced by giving them huge amounts. Now everyone’s eyes are fixed on when and what action the administration takes on the remaining illegal sand mines after Gaurbhat.
