People in Pakistan are worried due to skyrocketing prices of flour and pulses
People in Pakistan, which is facing a serious economic crisis, are worried due to inflation. The prices of 25 everyday items like cooking oil, pulses, flour, sugar and milk are skyrocketing. Due to the increase in the prices of these items, the inflation rate in Pakistan has increased to more than 23 percent. Despite all the claims of the government to provide relief to the public, the price of pulses has increased by up to Rs 65 per kg in Pakistani currency in the recent days, while edible oils have become costlier by Rs 30-40 per liter.
Sugar has become costlier by Rs 25-30 per kilogram. Karachi resident Ashraf says, the government should help the poor by controlling the rising prices. People work hard day and night on the roads, yet it has become difficult to arrange two meals a day. The government does not care about the poor and the middle class. At the same time, Sikandar says that inflation affects everyone from top to bottom.
