Chief Minister Sai attended the Bharat Vibhishika Diwas – National Seminar and Photo Exhibition

Raipur, 14 August 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, while addressing the Bharat Vibhishika Diwas – National Seminar organized at the Muktaakash Manch of Mahant Ghasidas Museum in the capital Raipur, said that the partition of India is such a chapter in history, whose pain is felt even today. Remembering the events of that period still stirs the mind. Chief Minister Sai said that at the time of partition, lakhs of people had to stay away from their home, family and motherland and had to face violence and unrest at many places. Some people were able to return to their country safely, while many could not reach their homes. Incidents related to trains at places like Amritsar station still remind us of the difficult period of partition. He said that even in this difficult time, those who came to India made a new beginning in life with hard work and courage, which is commendable. Chief Minister Sai said that August 14 is also the death anniversary of late Dilip Singh Judev ji. Judev ji contributed as a Minister of State in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government. He had a great personality and a philanthropic nature. Today, on his death anniversary, a cultural protection grand conference and felicitation ceremony was organized in Dharamjaigarh. Chief Minister Sai said that we got independence on the basis of hard struggle and sacrifice. It is the duty of every citizen to respect the tricolor obtained from the sacrifice of freedom fighters. He said that on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the tricolor has become a symbol of enthusiasm and unity in the whole country on the occasion of Independence Day for the last few years. Tiranga Yatras and Har-Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan have connected it with the people.

In the national seminar, the keynote speaker, thinker and writer Dr. Sadanand Sapre said that the painful events of the time of partition are an important part of history. He expressed confidence that the unity and integrity of India will be strengthened with the united efforts of all of us. Dr. Yudhishthir Lal Maharaj, who was presiding over the program, said that along with independence, we should also remember the suffering, displacement and challenges of that time. It is important to make the coming generation aware of the history of Partition. He said that at the time of Partition, many communities including the Sikh and Sindhi community had to leave their homes and families and migrate, which was a major humanitarian crisis. At the end of the program, Director of Culture Department Vivek Acharya expressed his gratitude. On this occasion, MP Brijmohan Agarwal, MLAs Sunil Soni and Motilal Sahu, Ajay Jamwal, Pawan Sai, President of Chhattisgarh Sahitya Academy Shashank Sharma, President of Chhattisgarh Minority Commission Amarjeet Chhabra, along with a large number of students and dignitaries were present.
