Raipur – The houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana have received an overwhelming response from the citizens in the capital city, Raipur. The Raipur Municipal Corporation had invited applications for 1133 houses constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana at locations such as Kachna, Daldal Seoni, Sondongri and Mathpurena, until the date of 13th August 2024. A total of 4500 applications have been received by the Raipur Municipal Corporation from citizens. Since 14th August 2024, on every working day, a token is being issued to 300 applicants from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM and the verification of the documents submitted online by these applicants is being carried out daily. A large crowd has gathered at the Municipal Corporation headquarters to obtain houses constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Today, Municipal Commissioner Shri Abinash Mishra visited the fourth floor of the Corporation’s main building and directly inspected the process of document verification of the applicants based on the token system in the Corporation General Assembly Hall under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The Commissioner has given instructions to ensure that the citizens applying for houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana do not face any inconvenience. He also interacted with the applicants whose documents were being verified.
