Jashpur Express launched on Rakshabandhan: Gift of e-rickshaw to 12 sisters of Bihan

Raipur 9 August 2025: On the auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai inaugurated the Jashpur Express from his native village Bagiya in Jashpur district and provided e-rickshaws as a gift of Rakhi to 12 sisters associated with the Bihan scheme. On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai himself traveled to the Bagiya residence complex sitting in the e-rickshaw of Gilsonika Pandey, a woman of self-help group. Chief Minister Sai said that this e-rickshaw is not only environmentally friendly, but its operating cost is also low. With this, women will become self-reliant by playing their part in local transport services and will be able to meet the needs of their family in a better way. While congratulating and wishing Rakshabandhan, he said that our government is fully committed to the safety and cooperation of all the sisters of Chhattisgarh. This e-rickshaw distribution has been done to make the sisters of self-help groups empowered and self-reliant.

Chief Minister Sai said that his government is rapidly implementing Modi’s guarantee. The work of 18 lakh houses approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is being completed at a fast pace. Along with this, eligible families having 5 acres of unirrigated land, 2.50 acres of irrigated land, two-wheeler and monthly income of Rs 15 thousand will also be given benefits under the Awas Plus Plus scheme. Chief Minister Sai said that 70 lakh sisters are being given Rs 1000 per month through Mahtari Vandan Yojana. To increase the income of tendu leaf collectors, the support price of tendu leaves has been fixed at Rs 5500 per standard sack. Atal Digital Suvidha Kendras are being established to provide banking facilities in villages, which will be started in all Gram Panchayats on the upcoming Panchayat Day. The Chief Minister said that for the convenience of common citizens, the registration process has been made more transparent, simple, digital and citizen-centric under 10 new revolutions in the registry. Bus services have been started in remote and inaccessible areas under the Chief Minister Rural Bus Scheme. He said that medical college, naturopathy and physiotherapy center, government nursing college and government physiotherapy college will be opened to expand health facilities in the district.

It was told in the program that e-rickshaws will be operated by women operators on various routes of the district. In Farasbahar, Pratima Bhagat will operate on Farasbahar- Kandaibahar- Amdiha- Tapkara route, Madanavati will operate on Lavakera- Amdiha- Purainbandh- Samdama- Tapkara route, Rajkumari Pankra will operate on Tapkara- Kandaibahar- Tuba- Farasbahar route and Urmila Bhagat will operate on Khutgaon- Singibahar- Sazabahar- Tapkara route. Similarly, in Duldula, Bindeshwari Devi will operate e-rickshaw on Kosa- Duldula- Vipatpur- Cherdand route, Parvati Say on Kosa- Duldula- Patratoli- Loro- Bamhni route, Sangeeta Devi on Cherdand- Loro- Bamhni- Kastura route and Bimla Devi on Cherdand- Duldula- Loro- Patratoli route. In Kansabel, Gilsonika Pandey will operate e-rickshaw on Tangargaon- Hathgada- Kansabel route, Tiyaso Pankra on Bansbahar- Dokra- Pusra- Khuntitoli- Kansabel route, Neeta Rawani on Katangkhar- Dokra- Bandarchuna- Kansabel route and Angawati Bai on Deori- Dokra- Chhatabar- Kansabel route. On this occasion, Commissioner Narendra Dugga, IG Deepak Kumar Jha, District Panchayat CEO Abhishek Kumar, Deputy Collector Sameer Bada, Upendra Yadav, Ganesh Jain and Ravi Yadav were present.
