Chief Minister Sai released the booklet “Rakt-Mitra”, honored the life members of Red Cross

Raipur, 25 July 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has said that blood donation is a noble deed, which not only gives life to a needy person, but is also the best example of our service towards humanity. Chief Minister Sai was addressing the program organized by the Indian Red Cross Society in village Bagiya of Jashpur district today. Chief Minister Sai said that the “Rakt-Mitra” directory is a historic and commendable initiative, through which any person can establish direct contact with blood donors on time. This initiative is an important step towards making life-saving assistance easy, accessible and timely. Chief Minister Sai said that I am extremely happy to see that citizens of every section in Jashpur district are actively participating in voluntary blood donation and health awareness programs and making their valuable contribution to social service. Today, while giving certificates to blood donors, I feel proud because a person who gives life is actually equal to God.

The Chief Minister said that we all know the importance of blood in our lives. Getting blood of the right blood group at the right time can save someone’s life, so blood donation is called ‘Mahadaan’. The maximum number of blood donation camps are organized in the state through the Red Cross Society, which is an excellent example of public service. From this platform, I appeal to the people of the state to participate in this life-saving work by donating blood as much as possible. Chief Minister Sai said that the state government is continuously committed to expanding health services in the state. Recently, we have taken concrete steps towards ensuring quick medical assistance by flagging off ambulance services. He said that I want to assure all the citizens that our government is committed to providing quality, accessible and quick health services to every person. On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai distributed certificates to the life members of the Indian Red Cross Society Jashpur in a program organized at Camp Office Bagiya and released the booklet “Rakt-Mitra”. During this, he presented certificates to Neeraj Sharma, Ajay Kumar Kushwaha and Shiv Narayan Soni and appreciated their contribution.

It is worth mentioning that the “Rakt-Mitra” directory is an innovative initiative of the District Administration and the Indian Red Cross Society, District Jashpur, under which the names and mobile numbers of 480 voluntary blood donors have been listed. Through this directory, whenever a patient needs blood, he can directly contact the numbers given in the list and get blood. With this effort, patients will not have to wander here and there and they will be able to get blood on time. If any person or social worker wants to become a “Rakt-Mitra”, he can fill the Google form by scanning the QR code given in the directory. Also, one can register as a “blood-friend” by contacting the Collector and Chairman, Indian Red Cross District Headquarters, Jashpur (Collectorate premises, room number 122). Vice President of Sarguja Development Authority and Pathalgaon MLA Gomti Sai, Jashpur MLA Raimuni Bhagat, District Panchayat Chairman Salik Sai, District Panchayat Vice Chairman Shaurya Pratap Singh Judev, Municipal Council Chairman Arvind Bhagat, Vice Chairman Yash Pratap Singh Judev, Collector Rohit Vyas, Senior Superintendent of Police Shashi Mohan Singh, Deputy Collector Hariom Dwivedi, Deputy Collector Prashant Kushwaha, Rupesh Praani Grahi of Red Cross Society, many public representatives and a large number of common citizens were present in this prestigious program.
