Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that our brave soldiers are the true sentinels of the country’s pride and honour. Our three armies are always ready to protect the country’s borders by staying within limits. The Kargil war of 1999 has been the most challenging war till date. The enemy had infiltrated the country’s border by deceit and attacked by hiding at high places. But in this challenging war that lasted for more than 60 days, our army made the seemingly impossible task possible with its manliness and valour. During the Kargil war, we were getting to hear new heroic tales every day. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the brave soldiers faced every difficult challenge and drove away the enemy.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the programme organised at Sainik School Rewa on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas on Saturday. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav paid floral tribute at the Shaheed Smarak and paid homage to the martyrdom of the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the protection of the country. He also paid floral tribute to the portraits of the martyrs of Kargil war. On this occasion, he honoured Smt. Vidya Devi, wife of Gunner Shri Chhote Lal Singh, who sacrificed his life in Kargil war and Smt. Shyamkali Devi, wife of Naik Shri Kalu Prasad, with shawl and coconut.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that our country has become strong under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. This is the golden period of the country. Today our army is capable of killing enemies outside the borders of our country like America and Israel. Through surgical strike, return of Wing Commander Abhinandan and Operation Sindoor, the country has told that if the incidents of terrorism do not stop, we will kill them inside their homes. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the valour and valour of the army has made every citizen of the country proud. While discussing the contribution of Sainik School, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is a matter of pride for us that today both the heads of the country’s Army and Navy are sons of Vindhya and their foundation has been laid in Sainik School. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that people who sacrifice their lives for the country are very virtuous. The true tribute to these brave martyrs would be to dedicate oneself to the country with full devotion and contribute.
On this occasion, the Dare Devil team of the Indian Army infused energy in the guests with their courageous exploits and everyone was filled with the spirit of patriotism. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav flagged off the Indian Army’s motorcycle campaign “Veerta Ke Paheli”.
In the program, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla, Panchayat and Rural Development and Labor Minister and Minister in-charge of Rewa district Shri Prahlad Singh Patel, Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Minister of State Smt. Pratima Bagri, MP Shri Janardan Mishra, Sirmaur MLA Shri Divyaraj Singh, Tyonthar MLA Shri Siddharth Tiwari, Mangawan MLA Shri Narendra Prajapati, District Panchayat Chairperson Smt. Neeta Kol, former Mayor Shri Virendra Gupta along with other public representatives, administrative officers and dignitaries paid homage to the martyred brave soldiers by offering flowers at the Martyr’s Memorial.
