Bhopal: Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the efforts being made to spread the personality and deeds of Lord Birsa Munda to the masses. He said that the Janjati Gaurav Diwas started with the efforts of Prime Minister Shri Modi has helped in introducing the country and the world to the contribution of tribal heroes and heroines in our independence. Birsa Munda, who fought valiantly against the British and was worshipped as God by the people, was the father of the Munda revolution. He also mentioned the contribution of martyr Rayanna in the armed guerrilla struggle, martyr Sidhu Santhal, Kanhu Santhal, his younger brother Chand and Bhairav ​​who participated in the Santhal rebellion or Hul movement with bow and arrow.

Governor Shri Patel said that Prime Minister Shri Modi ji has special feelings towards the tribal class. He has increased the budget by more than five times for the welfare of the tribal class. Through PM Jan Man Yojana, the welfare of the tribal class is being given a new direction. Special efforts are also being made to improve the lives of Bega, Sahariya and other backward tribal classes. Governor Shri Patel was addressing the huge function of state level tribal pride day on the occasion of Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jayanti in Dhar on Friday. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav presided over the function.

Governor Shri Patel said that Prime Minister Shri Modi has set a target to free the country from fatal diseases like sickle cell by the year 2047. Every section of the society will have to come forward in this effort. He urged everyone to make special efforts to create awareness regarding the elimination of this disease. Treatment of this disease is possible if it is diagnosed on time.

Today is no less than a festival: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today is no less than a festival. On this day, the pride of our society, Bhagwan Birsa Munda was born. This day is a day of pride as well as pride for us. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has started celebrating this day as Tribal Pride Day. Birsa Munda fought for the protection of water, forest and land. He also did many remarkable works with his courage and bravery to protect Mother India and gave a new direction to the society. He came forward raising his voice against religious conversion. Chief Minister Shri Yadav said that if the culture survives, we will survive. Birsa Munda has made a great contribution in the history of India for the protection of culture. He said that a university has been built in the name of Tantya Mama. The railway station has also been named after Tantya Mama. Our government is determined and is continuously working for the overall welfare of the tribal society, which will continue uninterrupted.

Employment opportunities will be created with development

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that development is being given new dimensions through water conservation. The gift of 57 development works costing Rs. 334 crore in Dhar district will give the region a fast pace on the path of progress. This will create employment opportunities along with development in the region. Giving information about PESA Act, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that plans should be prepared for the development of basic facilities like education, health, roads, drinking water etc. and they should also be put into action. He informed that forest villages are being converted into revenue villages. Special efforts are being made at the ground level to ensure that every eligible person gets the benefit of every government scheme. The Chief Minister said that sickle cell disease is fatal for the society. No stone will be left unturned to eradicate this disease. Special efforts are continuously being made at the ground level for the availability of better health services.

Air ambulance service for poor people

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that all efforts are being made to bring the tribal brothers and sisters forward. He said that air ambulance service has been started to provide quick medical service to the sick and to take them to the hospital. The state government is constantly making efforts to provide the best possible medical services to every person. It is our resolve that no person in the state should be deprived of treatment. He called upon the children of the tribal society to come forward for better education. He said that a system of free coaching has been started for the children of the tribal society to prepare for competitive examinations along with higher education. The expenses incurred on these coaching will be borne by the government.

Big Gaushalas will be opened for cow conservation

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that big cow shelters will be opened in the state for the protection and promotion of cows. Villagers will be encouraged to produce milk and will also be given bonuses for it. Services like State Transport Corporation will be restarted in the state. This will provide better means and facilities for transportation in rural areas. He said that for the first time a tribal cell has been created in the Raj Bhavan of Madhya Pradesh, which is a commendable effort for the development of tribal society. Through this cell, the doors of the Raj Bhavan have been opened for the tribal class.

Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Smt. Savitri Thakur said that Birsa Munda is a source of inspiration for all of us. The Prime Minister started celebrating Janjati Gaurav Diwas to spread the contribution of tribal hero Birsa Munda to the masses. The Central and State Governments are continuously making efforts to provide good education, health and means of livelihood to the people of the tribal society. Giving information about various schemes, she said that these are helping a lot in the welfare of the tribal class.

Tribal Welfare Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah said that the celebration of Janjati Gaurav Diwas is historic. Adequate opportunities are being provided to the tribal people to come forward. Through the schemes of the Central and State Government, the children of the tribal society are being provided new opportunities to move forward through better education and various schemes.

Release of Vision Document-2047 of Dhar , Dharampuri Assembly Constituency

Governor Shri Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav presented development works worth more than Rs 334 crore for Dhar district. Out of this, 33 works worth Rs 217.66 crore were inaugurated and 24 works worth Rs 116.70 crore were laid the foundation stone. A special postage stamp issued in connection with Vision Document-2047 of Dhar, Dharampuri Assembly constituency and sickle cell eradication was also released. Similarly, the FRA Atlas prepared in connection with the Forest Rights Act was also launched.

Precious work of Ramayana translated in Bhilli language presented to guests

Chief guest Mr. Patel and Dr. Yadav visited the exhibition of products produced by the tribal community. During this, they also discussed with the vendors and producers. In the program, benefits were also distributed to the beneficiaries under various schemes. The guests were welcomed traditionally by wearing turbans and bands. Along with this, tribal symbols like bow and arrow etc. were also presented as a mark of respect. The guests were also presented with the priceless work of Ramayana translated into Bhilli language by Bhanu Shankar Gehlot. A large number of tribal people participated in the program with full faith and devotion.

He received the Tribal Pride Award

      Governor Shri Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav honoured the tribal community with Janjati Gaurav Samman for their remarkable work in the fields of social service, medicine, art etc. These include the parents of the organ donor, Shri Dhan Singh and Sundari Bai, football coach Shri Shailendra of Sardarpur, mother of drone engine maker Pritam Jamod, Smt. Devki Jamod of Bagh, Sakeedibai of Bagh, orthopedic specialist Dr. Shri Bharat Singh Ninama. 

Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also visited the exhibition based on the contribution of tribal heroes at the venue. Battery operated tricycles were also provided to the disabled people in the program.
