One day skin disease diagnosis camp organized at Rawatpura Sarkar University

Chhattisgarh: A one-day free medical camp on skin diseases was organized at Rawatpura Sarkar University, in which more than 180 students and staff received consultation from senior dermatologist Dr Ravi Rao. The camp was aimed at providing solutions and treatment guidance for various skin diseases. Dr Rao interacted with the participants and gave expert advice on skin diseases, venereology, cosmetology and leprosy. He emphasized that the service of a doctor is often more influential than medicine. The university registrar highlighted the importance of education and said that education develops the mind, but service develops the heart. He also emphasized that knowledge should be applied practically for social welfare.

During the session, Dr. Rao addressed several common skin concerns, including: Causes of skin pigmentation: photosensitivity, skin aging, hormonal changes and nutritional deficiencies. He advised adopting a holistic nutrition approach with natural, seasonal foods. Vitiligo: A chronic autoimmune disease that causes white patches on the skin, which can be managed through topical medications, light therapy, surgery and cosmetics. Dr. Rao also highlighted the social contributions of Mahatma Gandhi and Jyotiba Phule in the field of leprosy awareness and treatment. The camp proved to be an informative and beneficial initiative for the students and staff, promoting awareness and proactive skin health management.
