On the occasion of Holi, emergency medical service will continue 24 hours in Ambedkar Hospital
Special instructions to medical staff, security arrangements also tight
Raipur, March 12, 2025: On the initiative of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and the guidelines of Health Minister Shyambihari Jaiswal, keeping in mind the festival of Holi, arrangements have been made to keep the medical system of Ambedkar Hospital smooth. Hospital Superintendent Dr. Santosh Sonkar has directed doctors, nursing staff, paramedical staff and other related departments to remain in alert mode. In view of possible cases of any kind of accident or emergency medical situation during Holi, instructions have been given to keep emergency medical services running round the clock. OPD (Outpatient Department) will remain closed on Holi day on March 14 due to government holiday, but emergency services will be available 24 hours as before. Adequate availability of life-saving medicines and essential resources has been ensured in the emergency wards. Medical staff has been instructed to remain on alert mode, so that immediate assistance can be given if needed. All doctors and paramedical staff have been instructed to be ready for emergency duty. Trauma and emergency units have been specially empowered so that patients can get timely treatment. Security arrangements will also be tight. Security guards and gunmen have been deployed in the hospital premises to prevent any kind of untoward incident. Security supervisors have been instructed to be extra vigilant and security staff to increase vigilance. Coordination has been done with the local police to maintain law and order in case of emergency. Ambulance service available till DKS Hospital. Ambulance service will be active 24 hours from Ambedkar Hospital to DKS Hospital to make the process of sending serious patients to the Super Specialty Department at DKS Hospital faster and smoother to provide medical facilities as per requirement. The hospital administration has urged all citizens to celebrate Holi festival carefully and avail the emergency services of the hospital without panicking in any emergency medical situation.
