Raipur 19 June 25: On the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board has included Shardadham, a famous religious and natural tourist destination located on the interstate border of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand, in the list of identified tourist destinations of the state. The Tourism Board has issued a circular for this. This decision of the board will give a new identity to this tourist destination. The board will be able to provide budget for its promotion as well as development of basic facilities for tourists. Shardadham is a confluence of faith and knowledge. In Shardadham, a unique confluence of faith and knowledge acquisition of Vidyadayani Maa Saraswati can be seen. Here special arrangements have been made for coaching for the needy children of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand state for their stay and studies. Shardadham Committee Chairman Rajkumar Singh said that in this special coaching institute, arrangements have been made for the stay, food and coaching of the children free of cost. Whatever expenses are incurred for the children’s stay and coaching, the committee meets their expenses with the help of devotees.

Shardadham is full of natural beauty. The famous religious tourist place Shardadham is located in Duldula block, about 30 km away from the district headquarters Jashpur. This famous temple of Maa Saraswati is surrounded by dense forest on all sides. The sweet sound of the nearby Girma river captivates the devotees coming here for darshan. The chairman of the management committee said that this grand temple of Vidyadayani Maa Saraswati has been built completely by voluntary labour. Devotees from both the states have sweated to build this temple of Maa. The design of the temple building has been prepared on the lines of the famous Lachlagarh Hanuman temple of Jharkhand. Jashpur is developing as a tourism hub. It is worth mentioning that Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai is working fast towards developing the tourism industry in the forest region Jashpur. Ten crore rupees have been sanctioned under Bharat Darshan Yojana for the development of Mayali Nature Camp located in Kunkuri block. Madheshwar Mahadev located here has recently been recognized by the Golden Book of World Records as the world’s largest natural Shivalinga. Along with this, CM Vishnudev Sai has taken a big step towards connecting the district to the tourism map and has announced the construction of a bridge on the lines of Laxman Jhula at Kotebiradham located in Farasbahar block. Along with this, work is being done rapidly towards developing tourist places like Desdekkha, Ranidah in the district. Chief Minister Sai’s goal is to provide employment to the people of the district by developing green industry in the district.
