Oli has enough majority figure of 165, opposition parties decided not to vote in favor

Nepal’s new Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will have a floor test in Parliament on Sunday. In this, three opposition parties have decided not to vote in favor of Oli by making a strategy. In a meeting led by former Prime Minister Prachanda, the leaders of the three parties discussed about the floor test. However, Oli has more than 165 members enough to get the majority figure of 138 votes.

Last week, Oli’s Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML) withdrew support from former Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda’s Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist Center. After this, Oli joined hands with the Nepali Congress, the largest party in the Nepali Parliament. Due to this, Prachanda lost the trust vote in Parliament. After this, Communist leader KP Sharma Oli took oath as Prime Minister for the fourth time on Monday. On Sunday, he also has to get a vote of confidence in Parliament.
