Now medical students will have to adopt a family, the new guidelines of NMC will change the way of treatment and study

 Rural Healthcare Revolution: Medical Students to Adopt Families, Serve Villages from 2026- This initiative aims to bridge the healthcare gap in rural India by integrating medical students directly into village life.

 Family Adoption Program: A New Era of Service- Starting in 2026, all MBBS students will participate in a ‘Family Adoption Program’. Each student will be responsible for the healthcare needs of a family, fostering a strong sense of community responsibility and practical experience beyond textbooks. This initiative emphasizes hands-on learning and community engagement.

 Medical Colleges Partner with Villages: A Collaborative Approach- Every medical college will adopt two villages, providing primary healthcare services. Students will spend 78 hours in these villages, offering treatment, conducting check-ups, and raising health awareness. This immersive experience benefits both students and villagers, ensuring accessible healthcare and valuable practical training for future doctors.

 Beyond Textbooks: Service and Awareness Take Center Stage- Medical education will go beyond the classroom. Students will actively engage in health camps, awareness drives, and follow-up care, educating villagers about disease prevention and hygiene. The focus is on holistic healthcare and community well-being, preparing students for real-world challenges.

 Cracking Down on Malpractice: Ensuring Transparency and Accountability- The NMC is taking a firm stance against malpractice. Strict action will be taken against colleges using fake patients to inflate their numbers. This move aims to ensure the integrity of medical education and improve the quality of healthcare professionals.

 New Medical Colleges: A Continuous Growth Process- The process of accrediting new medical colleges will continue until January 4, 2025, under strict guidelines. This expansion is expected to improve the quality of medical education and increase the availability of healthcare services across India.
