New Ayurvedic colleges will be opened in Narmadapuram, Balaghat, Sagar, Shujalpur and Dindori: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that efforts are being made by establishing continuous contact with the Central Government to establish a Yoga Institute in Khajuraho. He said that new Ayurvedic colleges will be opened in Narmadapuram, Balaghat, Sagar, Shujalpur and Dindori of the state. An action plan should be made to encourage the private sector in the establishment of Ayurvedic colleges. Ayurvedic colleges should be opened on priority in tribal dominated areas. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the review meeting of the AYUSH Department in the Ministry. AYUSH, Higher Education, Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Minister Shri Inder Singh Parmar, Additional Chief Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office Dr. Rajesh Rajoura and senior departmental officers were present in the meeting.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the importance of Ayurveda has increased tremendously after Covid. Para medical courses should be increased in the department. There are more treatment and employment opportunities in this. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that a proposal has been sent to the Central Government to start All India Ayurveda Institute in Ujjain.
It was told in the meeting that 332 paramedical employees have been appointed in the department. Appointment orders of 14 Unani Medical Officers and 36 Homeopathy Medical Officers have been issued. The process of filling the posts of 543 Ayurveda Medical Officers selected from the Public Service Commission is going on. 533 contractual CAMOs have been posted in Ayushman Arogya Mandir AYUSH. Under AYUSH education, postgraduate courses have been started in two new subjects of Ayurveda (Gynecology Obstetrics – Ujjain and Bhopal College and Panchkarma – Ujjain College) in the session 2023-24. Construction works worth Rs 1999.86 lakh were approved for the strengthening of Pt. Khushilal Sharma Government Ayurveda College, Bhopal of the state. A 180-bed girls hostel is being run in the Government Autonomous Unani College, Bhopal. Last year, 1 crore 37 lakh patients were treated in OPD/IPD and 2500 patients underwent surgery. 9 thousand 600 sessions were organised in Yoga Wellness Centre.
