Boosting Tourism Through Thrilling Events-The annual events like the Tehri Water Sports Festival and the Nayar Mahotsav in Pauri are playing a crucial role in popularizing adventure activities. Strengthening Disaster Response Capabilities-In a collaborative effort to enhance disaster management, the Uttarakhand State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has partnered with the Indian Rescue Academy in Pune. This collaboration will significantly improve rescue operation training and efficiency, ensuring a quicker and more effective response during emergencies and natural calamities.
A Massive Investment in Disaster Preparedness-The state has received a substantial INR 1,480 crore from the central government under the Uttarakhand Disaster Preparedness and Resilient Project. This substantial funding will fortify the state’s disaster management infrastructure, leading to improved safety measures and faster response times for citizens during emergencies.
Mission Kedardome: Conquering Challenges-The NDRF’s mission to conquer the 6,832-meter Kedardome peak is a rigorous training exercise.
