Bhopal: Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla said that Navkar Mahamantra is the most sacred and powerful mantra of Jainism, which gives the message of humility, non-violence, brotherhood and self-purification. This mantra is not only a medium of mental peace and inner balance, but is also an effective formula for establishing harmony and peace in the world. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla received blessings from Munishri Acharya Praman Sagar Ji Maharaj and other Acharyas in a program organized at Ravindra Bhawan Bhopal on World Navkar Mahamantra Day.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is rapidly moving towards spiritual resurgence and cultural awakening. The soul of India lies in its spiritually rich tradition. Through such events, we are working to reawaken that soul. Prime Minister Shri Modi attended the ‘Navkar Mahamantra Diwas’ program at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. All the devotees and followers present heard and saw the live telecast of Prime Minister Shri Modi’s address.

When the soul recognizes itself, then it becomes Mahavir: Munishri Acharya Praman Sagar

Munishri Acharya Praman Sagar Ji Maharaj underlined the relevance of Navkar Mahamantra in the current global perspective. He said that when the world is going through a horrific phase of terror, violence and war, Navkar Mahamantra guides towards peace, co-existence and self-realization. He said that Mahavir is not born, but created – when the soul recognizes itself, it becomes Mahavir.

Acharya Praman Sagar Ji Maharaj said that true worship is not just external worship but awareness of one’s own existence. When we recognize the Mahavir within us and worship him, then only we are worshipping the whole world. Worship of Navkar Mantra is for the peace of the whole world. He said that it is necessary to adopt the shelter of religion, that is, truth, penance, discipline and patience in life. The welfare of society and nation is possible only by bringing religion into our nature and attitude. Former minister Shri Jayant Malaiya, Municipal Corporation President Shri Kishan Suryavanshi, revered saints of Jain saint community and a large number of devotees were present in the program.
