Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav released the poster of Navankur Sakhi Hariyali Yatra at the Chief Minister’s residence on Wednesday and said that it is necessary to connect people with nature and increase public awareness for environmental protection. He said that Hariyali Yatra will inspire citizens to protect the environment from their courtyard, village to city. Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad is organizing a five-day Navankur Sakhi Hariyali Yatra in the state from July 24. Council Vice President Mr. Mohan Nagar was present on the occasion of poster release. A short film was also screened on this occasion. Chief Minister and President of MP Jan Abhiyan Parishad Dr. Mohan Yadav described the innovative program of the council as commendable and said that more and more citizens should be included in this state-wide campaign. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated the Navankur Sakhis and expected their continuous and active participation in environmental protection. The main objective of the campaign is to protect the environment on the basis of voluntary work through Nari Shakti. It is noteworthy that MP Jan Abhiyan Parishad will organize Navankur Sakhi-Hariyali Yatra in 1565 sectors of 313 development blocks of the state from Hariyali Amavasya 24 July for the next 05 days. 100 women have been registered as Navankur Sakhi in each sector. These Navankur Sakhis will develop plants in their home garden through 11 seeded and sprouted plant bags. With this innovative initiative of MP Jan Abhiyan Parishad, 5500 plants will be prepared in every development block of the state. Under the campaign, 17 lakh 21 thousand 500 plants will be prepared by 1 lakh 56 thousand 500 Navankur Sakhis in the state. In case the developed plants are suitable for planting, they will be planted on government or private land in Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Abhiyan on occasions of importance to the family. These plants will be planted in the coming years in Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Abhiyan. Council and Executive Director Dr. Bakul Lad along with other officials were present on the occasion of poster release.
