National news: Adani Total Gas and InoxCVA join hands
Ahmedabad. Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL), India’s leading city gas distribution company, and Gujarat-based Inox India Limited (INOXCVA) have joined hands. Under an agreement, ATGL and INOXCVA will mutually accord “Preferred Partner” status for delivery of LNG and LCNG equipment and services to identify and explore potential collaboration opportunities to strengthen the LNG ecosystem in the country.
ATGL as a Preferred Partner will have certain project level benefits including opportunities for ATGL to work together and develop LNG/LCNG with advance schedule, setting up of LNG satellite stations, transition to LNG as transportation fuel, collaborative opportunities for LNG Such ideas are included. Along with logistics, this will also include developing small-scale liquid hydrogen solutions for industry.
The mutual cooperation agreement covers the roles and responsibilities of both parties in developing LNG infrastructure including small-scale LNG plants, LNG stations, preparing the economy for heavy vehicles conversion to LNG, developing best practices for HSE. Which includes fuel efficiency, high quality conversion and many types of services.
Speaking on the mutual collaboration, Suresh P Mangalani, Executive Director and CEO, ATGL, said, “Air pollution and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are increasing. With rapid industrial growth and huge increase in heavy vehicles for transportation of goods, the challenges will become even greater going forward. This partnership with InoxCVA will help ATGL convert long distance heavy duty vehicles, buses currently using HSD/Diesel, to LNG thereby helping in reducing CO2 and GHG emissions by more than 30%. ATGL will rapidly set up LNG stations across the country to enhance the confidence of operators to adopt LNG as a transportation fuel.”

Information about Adani Total Gas
Given its gas distribution, ATGL is authorized in 33 geographical areas and plays a key role in the country’s efforts to increase the share of natural gas in its energy mix. Of the 52 GAs, 33 are owned by ATGL and the remaining 19 GAs are owned by Indian Oil-Adani Gas Private Limited (IOAGPL) – a 50:50 joint venture between Adani Total Gas Limited and Indian Oil Corporation Limited . Further, ATGL has formed 2 wholly owned subsidiaries, namely Adani TotalEnergies E-Mobility Limited (ATEL) and Adani TotalEnergies Biomass Limited (ATBL) for its e-mobility and biomass business respectively. ATGL has also formed a 50:50 joint venture named Smart Meter Technologies Pvt Ltd for its gas meter manufacturing business.
