National Games Preparations Speed Up City Beautification Begins
Uttarakhand : has been chosen to host the National Games, and preparations are in full swing. With the games scheduled for January, time is running short, and efforts to get everything ready have intensified. The beautification of the city has also begun, with work underway to clean up and paint the streets. The National Games will take place from January 28 to February 14, 2025. In anticipation of this event, the government has started making arrangements. At the International Stadium in Haldwani, the administration is ensuring that everything is in place, and the city is undergoing a makeover.
In Haldwani, work is ongoing at the intersections of 13 identified roads. City Magistrate A.P. Bajpai mentioned that the widening of these intersections is progressing steadily. Given the upcoming National Games, beautification efforts for the roads in Haldwani have commenced. Additionally, all roads leading to the International Stadium, which will be used by athletes from various states, are being improved. On December 15, the logo, mascot, anthem, jersey, and torch for the 38th National Games were launched. Notably, two traditional sports from Uttarakhand, Yogasana and Mallakhamba have now been included as core games, and these will be held in the hilly districts.
