Nanhe Farishte campaign is being run continuously, 507 children returned safely
Bilaspur. Railway Protection Force, South East Central Railway is discharging its social responsibilities with the highest priority along with the safety of railway passengers, railway property. Along with providing assistance to the needy passengers with utmost dedication, the Railway Protection Force is also running a continuous campaign for their convenience and safety, paying special attention to women and children.
In this episode, the Railway Protection Force, South East Central Railway, efficiently discharging its responsibilities, under “Operation Nanhe Farishte” in the jurisdiction of South East Central Railway from January 2023 to September 2024 this year, 507 minor children, including 298 boys and 209 girls, who had run away from home and were separated from their families, were rescued at various stations / trains and handed over to non-governmental organizations and their parents.
South East Central Railway, Security Force personnel are performing their duties diligently round the clock with the aim of vigilance, security and service and are discharging their social responsibilities with a spirit of service. These works being done by the Railway Protection Force are constantly receiving very positive and encouraging response from the public.
Along with this, quick assistance is provided to the passengers through the Security Helpline and Women Helpline running round the clock in the Railway Protection Force Control Room. Special attention is being paid to the safety of women passengers by deploying women RPF staff at railway stations / trains. To ensure the safety of passengers, RPF personnel are escorting the most sensitive trains running at night. By deploying adequate number of Decoy Task Force teams in unsafe trains / sections, strict monitoring is being done on the activities of criminals involved in theft of passenger luggage, drug abuse, pickpocketing and other heinous crimes like theft, robbery.
