Municipal Corporation officials demonstrated EVM machines in polling booths of all wards of Raipur Municipal Corporation for the second consecutive day

Raipur – On the instructions of Chhattisgarh State Election Commission and Raipur District Election Office, the Zone Commissioners of Municipal Corporation Raipur, as per the orders of Raipur District Collector and Municipal Corporation Administrator Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh and as per the instructions of Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra, immediately after receiving training on the demonstration of EVM machines from the master trainers yesterday, the demonstration of EVM machines continued for the second consecutive day today in the polling booths of 70 wards of all 10 zones. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra has been appointed as the nodal officer for this work and Municipal Corporation Deputy Commissioner Dr. Anjali Sharma has been appointed as the Assistant Nodal Officer by Raipur District Election Officer. All the Zone Commissioners have been given the responsibility of demonstrating EVM machines in the polling booths of all the wards in their respective zone areas. The Zone Commissioners have given the administrative responsibility to the Zone Officers to demonstrate the EVM machines in the wards. EVM machines are being demonstrated in the polling booths by the Zone Officers in all the wards of all the zones under the Municipal Corporation. A large number of voters are getting their queries regarding EVM machines resolved in all the polling booths. The zone officers are making the voters aware of the entire process of voting with EVM machines. Today, on Sunday, Zone 4 demonstrated EVM machines to the voters of Maharana Pratap School polling booth in Sadar Bazar, Saraswati Kanya Uchcha Madhyamik Shala Nayapara, Anand Samaj Reading Room, Naveen Saraswati Kanya Shala Purani Basti, all polling booths of Salem School, Zone 8 team demonstrated EVM machines to the voters of Wamba Valmiki Ambedkar Awas Yojna Residential Complex in Kabir Nagar, all polling booths of Shankar Nagar Ward Zone 3 area, polling booths of wards of Zone 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 by the concerned zone officers of the corporation. A large number of queries of the citizen voters regarding EVM machines were resolved by the officers in all the polling booths. The process of demonstrating EVM machines in polling stations and making voters aware of the process of voting through EVM machines continued for the second consecutive day in the polling stations of all 70 wards of Raipur Municipal Corporation. It is worth mentioning here that the date of voting for the Urban Body Election 2025 has been fixed by the Chhattisgarh State Election Commission on 11 February 2025 from 8 am to 5 pm, while the counting of votes will be done on 15 February 2025.
