Municipal Corporation confiscated the advertising structures of Graceful Media, cancelled the tender
Raipur – Municipal Corporation Raipur has decided to confiscate 30 mini unipoles, other unipoles and the entire advertising property (inventory) of the company due to non-payment of outstanding advertising fees by Graceful Media. Also, the tender related to advertising structures has also been canceled. The corporation has issued a final notice to the company to deposit the outstanding amount within the stipulated time limit. Apart from this, the process of maintenance through advertising on community toilets or their premises has also been canceled, as the financial obligations were not followed by the concerned agencies. The Municipal Corporation has decided to take the following strict steps to enforce revenue recovery and financial discipline:
1. Formation of monitoring committee A special committee will be formed by the Municipal Corporation, which will monitor the process of recovery of outstanding amount from the agency. This committee will analyze the revenue sources of Graceful Media and recommend effective recovery measures.
2. Cancellation of advertising registration and blacklisting The advertising registration (license) of Graceful Media will be cancelled, due to which it will not be able to conduct any advertising activity in the municipal corporation area. The agency will be blacklisted, due to which it will not be able to participate in any tender or contract of the corporation in future.
3. Complete confiscation of advertising assets (inventory) In the first phase, 30 mini unipoles have been confiscated and in the next 10 days all the remaining advertising assets will also be confiscated.
4. Termination of electricity connection If the agency has taken electricity connection in the corporation area through other means including Graceful Media, then a letter will be sent to CSPDCL (Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited) and instructions will be given to disconnect these connections immediately. The outstanding amount will be recovered from the agency through legal process.
5. Legal & Financial Recovery Process
If the agency does not deposit the dues within the stipulated time limit, the Corporation will initiate the Revenue Recovery (Rajaswa Bhuvaasi) process, which includes: Legal action by issuing Revenue Recovery Certificate (RRC). Seizing the bank accounts and properties of the agency. Filing a financial recovery suit in the Hon’ble Court. This action is being taken by the Municipal Corporation with the aim of protecting revenue, enforcing financial discipline and preventing misuse of public property. In future also, strict action will continue against any defaulting agency so as to ensure transparency and accountability in the advertising sector. Final Warning for Graceful Media A final warning is to be issued by the Municipal Corporation to Graceful Media to pay all its dues within the stipulated time limit. If this is not done, their advertising license will be cancelled, the company will beshri blacklisted, and legal action will be initiated.
