Municipal Corporation Commissioner said- identify drinking water crisis areas in advance
Raipur. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra today held a meeting of officers and zone commissioners associated with Amrit Mission and gave instructions to carefully review the drinking water facility in the entire urban area before the summer season and prepare a well-planned system. In this meeting, he has clearly instructed the officials that as per the intention of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, access to basic facilities has to be ensured to every citizen and in this regard, comprehensive guidelines have also been given under the guidance of Urban Administration Minister Arun Sao. . He said that 100 percent compliance of these instructions should be ensured, so that common citizens can get full benefits of the schemes of the Central and State Government. He has directed for prompt correspondence for approval of the proposal pending at the government level for water supply distribution and rising work from Labhandi and Phundhar water tanks. He also directed in the meeting to complete the work of water tanks of 25 lakh liter water capacity being built in Labhandi and 20 lakh liter water capacity in Phundhar within the stipulated time. Additional Commissioner Vinod Pandey, all zone commissioners, superintending engineer Rajesh Sharma, all executive engineers and assistant engineers were present in the meeting.
In this meeting held in the meeting room of Municipal Corporation Headquarters, Gandhi Sadan, Commissioner Mishra reviewed the updated status of the drinking water supply scheme. He took information about the work of the National Highway Authority as well as the work being done by the Municipal Corporation for laying pipelines in Chandnidih. He has said that after contacting the National Highway Authority, he has given instructions to speed up the work of laying the pipeline and complete the said work within 3 months. Similarly, the works under construction for drinking water supply in Samta Colony, Choubey Colony, Sanjay Nagar, New Shanti Nagar have been asked to be completed by the end of February. He has directed the Zone Commissioners to identify such areas where there is always a problem in the supply of drinking water during the summer season and to provide water by arranging tankers. He has said that by identifying such areas first, remove all the obstacles in drinking water supply and also ensure that there is adequate water supply in all the areas.
