MP NEWS: No farmer affected by hailstorm was left out of survey and relief: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has given instructions to immediately survey the damage caused due to untimely rain and hailstorm in some districts of Central Eastern Madhya Pradesh between 11th to 14th February. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has said that no farmer affected by hailstorm should be left out of relief and survey. After the survey, collectors have been instructed to distribute the relief amount to the farmers in RBC 6(4).

Instructions have been given for immediate survey on the information of crops of 3 thousand 701 farmers of 343 villages of 34 tehsils of Balaghat, Katni, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Didonri, Mandla, Satna, Singrauli, Panna, Anuppur and Chhatarpur being affected. It has been asked to provide relief as per the provisions of the Revenue Book Circular. Sufficient amount of budget is available to approve the relief amount.

It is noteworthy that an amount of Rs 121 crore has been distributed by the state government to the hailstorm affected people in the financial year 2023-24. In the last three years, assistance worth Rs 1,820 crore has been given to farmers affected by natural disasters.
