Mp News : Approval of over Rs 5,180 crore for irrigation projects

The Council of Ministers meeting was held in Mantralaya on Monday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The Council of Ministers approved more than Rs 5,180 crore for the implementation of various irrigation projects in the state. Out of this, Rs 5,42 crore were revised and administrative approval was given for more than Rs 137 crore. Among the approved projects, revised administrative approval of Rs 775 crore was given in Shahnagar development block of Panna district instead of Rs 600 crore. With the completion of this scheme, 577 villages of the area will also benefit from drinking water facility. It is noteworthy that in the year 2011, Powai Medium Irrigation Project was approved at a cost of Rs 261 crore 54 lakh. Due to increase in irrigation area, revised administrative approval of Rs 600 crore was issued in the year 2018. In the year 2011, the irrigation area was 9 thousand 952 hectares, which increased to 19 thousand 534 hectares in 2018 and now it has increased to 25 thousand 820 hectares.

Similarly, due to increase in irrigation area in Burhanpur development block of Burhanpur district, revised administrative approval of Rs 144 crore 72 lakh was given. This irrigation project was approved in the year 2017 at a cost of Rs 104 crore 45 lakh. At that time 2310 hectare irrigation area was included in the project, which has now increased to 3750 hectare area.

Also, due to increase in irrigated land in Banda tehsil of Sagar district, increase in the number of families in the submergence area, increase in cost of land acquisition and increase in electricity consumption, revised administrative approval of Rs 3 thousand 219 crore 62 lakh crore was given. Has been. This irrigation project was approved in the year 2022 at a cost of Rs 26 crore 54 lakh. More than 4 thousand 646 hectares of land in 28 villages is being affected in the project and more than 4 thousand families are to be displaced. With the completion of this scheme, 313 villages of the area will be benefited.

Similarly, due to increase in irrigation area in Ramnagar development block of Satna district, revised administrative approval of Rs 53 crore 69 lakh was given. With the completion of this scheme, 26 villages in the area will be benefited. In the year 2018, this irrigation project was approved at a cost of Rs 36 crore 17 lakh. At that time 2600 hectares of irrigation area was included in the project, which has now increased to 3961 hectares of area.

With this, revised administrative approval of Rs 627 crore 45 lakh was given for increasing the irrigation area in Lateri development block of Vidisha district. This irrigation project was approved in the year 2016 at a cost of Rs 383 crore 15 lakh. At that time 9,990 hectare irrigation area was included in the project, which has now increased to 12 thousand 814 hectare area. The cost of rehabilitation and resettlement has also increased.

Similarly, due to increase in irrigation area in Jawar tehsil of Sehore district, revised administrative approval has been given for Kanyakhedi Medium Irrigation Project (irrigation area 4605 hectares) costing Rs 222 crore 3 lakh. In the year 2018, this irrigation project was approved at a cost of Rs 102 crore 71 lakh. At that time, 2400 hectare area of 7 villages was included in the project, which has now increased to 3800 hectare area of 11 villages.

The Council of Ministers has given administrative approval for the Small Urgent Medium Irrigation Project (irrigation area 4000 hectares) in Burhanpur district costing Rs 137 crore 77 lakh. Through the project, 9 villages of Burhanpur tehsil will get the benefit of irrigation facility through pressurized (hose) system.

Approval of Rs 69 crore 48 lakh for continuous operation of Dial-100 scheme.

The firm M/s-BVG India Ltd. has been contracted by the Council of Ministers for the continuous operation of the Centralized Police Call Center and Control Room System (Dial-100) Scheme. Increase in the contract period by 15 percent more in the approved rates for 6 months (from 01 October 2023 to 31 March 2024) or till the date of commencement of operation of Dial-100 service by the selected tenderer after the new tender, whichever period is less. An estimated cost of Rs 69 crore 48 lakh was approved for the expansion till Ho.

Under CITIIS 2.0, Madhya Pradesh’s Smart City gets initial approval to participate in the selection process and implement the plan.

Under the scheme, 18 smart cities are to be selected through challenge among 100 smart cities. Under this, seven smart cities of the state have been initially included in the selection process.

The Council of Ministers gave approval to insert amendment rule 5-A of compassionate appointment in Madhya Pradesh Panchayat Service (Gram Panchayat Secretary Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2011. As per approval, in the event of no vacancy in the post of the concerned category in the Gram Panchayat under the District Panchayat under which the Gram Panchayat Secretary was serving, he can be appointed in another district.
