Mp News : Air service to tourist places and major cities is our priority: CM
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Madhya Pradesh is a big province geographically. Transport facilities are available in the state by road and rail, along with this, the state government is now providing the facility to reach from one place to another in less time than by air. Expanding air service to religious tourism, other tourist places and big cities of the state is being done on priority. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the program organized at the Government Airport, Bhopal on the occasion of the launch of PM Shri Tourism Air Service and PM Shri Religious Tourism Heli Service.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that God has special blessings on Madhya Pradesh. Mother Narmada originating from Amarkantak is the lifeline of Madhya Pradesh as well as Gujarat. On the initiative of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Mother Narmada has made a remarkable contribution in providing energy and irrigation facilities to the country. With the air service being started in the state, it will be possible to quickly transport people from one place to another for religious as well as business and administrative activities and in all kinds of circumstances. Our effort will be to build airstrips in all the districts and expand interstate air service.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that after the air service from Indore to Mahakaleshwar and Mamleshwar (Omkareshwar), like Kedarnath and Yamunotri, helicopter service will be started for Datia, Maihar, Orchha etc. for darshan in a short time. Efforts will be made to expand air facilities to all the major religious places of the state. There is also a plan to expand air service to other places important from tourism point of view like Kanha, Bandhavgarh. Arrangements will be made to visit the existing pilgrimage sites in the state by linking the schemes run by the state government for religious pilgrimage with these schemes completely funded by the state government.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced the launch of both the schemes. He launched both the schemes by pressing the button of the remote and flagged off two planes and a helicopter. He said that at the inauguration, Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Minister of State Shri Gautam Tetwal, Shri Naresh Shivaji Patel and Dr. Pratima Bagri are visiting Indore. Similarly, Minister Shri Rakesh Singh, Mrs. Sampatti Uike and Shri Dharmendra Lodhi are leaving for Jabalpur. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Jagdish Deora, Ministers Shri Andal Singh Kansana, Shri Narayan Singh Kushwaha and Shri Pradyuman Tomar left for the service starting for Gwalior.
Tourism will get wings – Tourism Minister Shri Lodhi
At the function, Tourism, Culture, Endowments and Religious Trusts Minister Shri Dharmendra Lodhi said that with the inspiration of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh is getting the gift of ‘PM Shri Tourism Air Service’ and ‘PM Shri Religious Tourism Heli Service’. This will give new wings to the tourism of the state. For the first time, two twin engine aircraft are being operated, in which air travel will be very safe. At affordable rates, tourists, devotees or common citizens will be able to reach from one city to another in a very short time. Through air service, remote areas of the state will be added to the tourism map, which will benefit the local people and new employment opportunities will be created.
