MP Brijmohan felicitated the winners of the photo exhibition
Raipur. Photo is a powerful medium of expression. It can communicate thoughts, feelings and stories without words. MP Brijmohan Agarwal said this at the closing ceremony of the photo exhibition organized by Raipur Press Club on Saturday.
Brijmohan Agarwal attended the program as the chief guest. In this photo exhibition organized on the subject of news, tourism and culture and development, the activities captured in the camera by the photo journalist were displayed. MP Brijmohan Agarwal awarded the winners of various categories.
Addressing the program, Brijmohan Agarwal said that a single photo can tell the whole event and story. A good photo presents the person’s emotion, situation in a clear and impressive manner. Photo journalists often work in dangerous and challenging situations, risking their lives. So that they can uncover the truth and show the world the pictures and stories of important events. They go to wars, natural disasters, political instability, and other dangerous situations, where their safety may be at risk. The photographs taken by them not only make the news lively but also play an important role in bringing awareness and change in the society.
In the news category, Bhupesh Kesharwani, Deependra Soni and Raj Kumar Chaturvedi got first, second and third prizes respectively and Manoj Devangan and Vijay Devangan got consolation prizes. In tourism and culture, Arvind Sonwani, Kishan Lokhande, Bhupesh Kesharwani got first, second and third prizes respectively and Gopal Soni and Sagar Parikar got consolation prizes. And in the development category, Manoj Devangan, Bhupesh Kesharwani, Rajkumar Chaturvedi got first, second and third prizes and Santosh and Narendra Bengali got consolation prizes. Raman Halwai was awarded in the overall category.
Raipur Press Club President Prafull Thakur, General Secretary Dr. Vaibhav Shiv Pandey, Joint Secretary Tripti Soni, Treasurer Raman Halwai along with journalists and photo journalists were present in the program.
