Move towards best performance, aim for gold medal – Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang

Bhopal: Cooperatives, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang on Saturday met the players who brought laurels to the state by winning medals in the 38th National Games at his residence. On this occasion, he shared his experiences with the players and appreciated their hard work, dedication and success.

Minister Shri Sarang said that due to the hard work and dedication of the players, coaches and support staff of Madhya Pradesh, the state has performed brilliantly in the 38th National Games and has secured third place in the list of states with a total of 82 medals. He congratulated all the winning players and wished them a bright future.

On this occasion, President and MLA of Madhya Pradesh Olympic Association, Shri Ramesh Mendola, Secretary of the Association, Shri Digvijay Singh, senior officers of Sports and Youth Welfare Department and other dignitaries were present.

While encouraging the players, Minister Shri Sarang said that every player should pledge to give the best performance in his game and make it his goal to win the gold medal. He said, “Your hard work, confidence and dedication are your biggest strengths. Have faith in yourself, turn every challenge into an opportunity and reach the peak of victory!”

While motivating the players, Minister Shri Sarang also said that the state government is ready to provide support to the players at every level, so that they can hone their sports skills and bring glory to Madhya Pradesh and the country at the national and international level.

State government is committed for the development of sports

Minister Shri Sarang said that the Madhya Pradesh government is constantly striving to provide world-class facilities and training to the players. Special schemes are being run to strengthen the sports infrastructure in the state and to encourage the players. The Sports and Youth Welfare Department is continuously working in this direction, so that in future more players can showcase their talent at the national and international level. Congratulating the victorious players of the state, Minister Shri Sarang expressed hope that in the coming years, the players of Madhya Pradesh will write a new story of their success in the country and the world.

During the interaction, the boxing players shared that playing at high altitude in Uttarakhand was not easy, but reaching there five days before the event and doing special training improved their performance significantly. They said that this strategy of altitude acclimatization not only improved their fitness but also gave them an extra edge in the matches.

The players expressed satisfaction over the excellent arrangements made by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department in Uttarakhand and said that they were provided with the best facilities so that they could concentrate only on their game.

It is noteworthy that this time the boxing team of Madhya Pradesh performed brilliantly and won a total of 5 medals – 1 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze. This victory is the result of the hard work of the players, correct strategy and effective planning of the department, which has once again brought glory to Madhya Pradesh on the national stage.
