Mother’s blessings and a permanent house: Bijapur’s Shammi Durgam expressed her affectionate thanks to the Chief Minister

Chhattisgarh: A mother’s compassion and gratitude arising from a village located at the foothills of Karegutta hill in Usur development block of Bijapur district- 62-year-old Shammi Durgam got emotional after receiving the keys of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana at the Sushasan Tihar organized at Galgam. While taking the keys from Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, she touched his cheek with affectionate hands, then touched that hand to her lips- as if a mother is blessing her son. This scene was not just the joy of getting a pukka house, but also a mother’s affectionate trust on the government.
