Bhopal. Some things are not said, but their impact is felt. Like a good work has been done in Chhindwara district without any noise. A total of 3 lakh 53 thousand 326 families live in Chhindwara district. Since water is a subject related to everyone’s life, the PHE department is trying its best to provide ‘tap water to every house’ to all these families through ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ (scheme). PHE is getting great success in this work. PHE has given permanent tap connections in more than 466 villages of the district. By September 2024, more than 2 lakh 33 thousand 158 families out of the targeted families are being provided water from every house by giving domestic tap connections. More than 66 percent of the families of the target are getting tap water here. This is a big achievement. Due to this, the people of those villages of Chhindwara district, who earlier used to be very worried about pure water, have got rid of the water crisis forever. Now the villagers do not have to wander for water. It is just a matter of opening the tap, everyone’s house is filled with water. Women have benefited the most from the success of Jal Jeevan Mission in Chhindwara district. Half of the population of the district (women) has now got complete freedom from the scarcity of water.

In Kachariya village of the district also, pure drinking water is being delivered through tap to every house through Jal Jeevan Mission. Mrs. Kavita Suryavanshi, a resident of this village, says, “There was a great scarcity of water in our village. We used to bring water from far away, which was very difficult for us. But now we are getting clean and pure water from the tap at home. This is not only saving our time, but we are also able to do other important work in that time. This scheme has brought a big change and a new era of prosperity in the lives of lakhs of women like us.”
