Minister Patel held a meeting of the M.P. Building and Other Construction Workers Board

Bhopal: Labor Minister and Chairman of Building and Construction Workers Board, Shri Prahlad Singh Patel held the 40th meeting of M.P. Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board on Tuesday at Hotel Palash. In the meeting, Labor Minister Shri Patel reviewed the work of the Board and observed the compliance report of the decisions taken in the 39th meeting, which was approved by the Board members. In the meeting, the activities conducted by the Board, the work to be done by the Board in the coming days and the agenda presented by the Board for worker welfare were discussed pointwise. In the meeting, various topics like schemes run by the Board, proposals for the welfare of construction workers, budget allocation and budget approval, Shramodaya Vidyalaya and ITI were discussed in detail.

In the meeting, a decision was taken regarding the continuation of payment of the entire amount for the remaining academic sessions even after the death of the registered worker or attaining the age of 60 years after the first installment allocation to the children of the registered worker under the Chief Minister Jan Kalyan (Education Promotion) Scheme. With this decision, the eligible student will be able to complete his education. The Board’s annual report was also presented for approval in the meeting. Along with this, other important decisions related to labour welfare like Marriage Assistance Scheme, Shramodaya Vidyalaya, Shramik Night Basera etc. were taken in the board meeting. Secretary, Labour Department Shri Raghuraj Rajendran, Secretary, MP Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board Shri Basant Kurre, non-official and government members of the Board along with other officials were present in the meeting.
