Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Kalinga University (KU) and Centre for Environment and Energy Development (CEED)

Raipur – On 16th April 2025, Kalinga University and Centre for Environment and Energy Development (CEED) signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The signing ceremony held at the Kalinga University campus focused on areas such as climate and energy transition, research and innovation, resource sharing, capacity building, innovative collaborations between academia and industry, etc. The partnership aims to empower students through diverse initiatives and contribute to their holistic development and preparation for modern challenges.
Centre for Environment and Energy Development (CEED) works towards climate change with a focus on energy transition, ambient air quality, circular economy and clean water for all. For the last 10 years, CEED has been actively promoting issues of climate change, carbon neutrality, ambient air quality, energy transition and circular economy in the Indo-Gangetic plains while working in Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand.
The MoU was signed by Shri Ramapati Kumar, CEO and Founder, CEED and Dr. Sandeep Gandhi, Registrar, Kalinga University. Dr. R. Sridhar, Vice Chancellor, Kalinga University, Dr. Byju John, Director General and all Deans and Heads of Departments were also present on the occasion. Representatives from the CEED team included Dr. Manish Verma – Director, Climate & Energy, Shri Ashwani Ashok – Director, Just Transition, Shri Tushar Sharma – State Head, Chhattisgarh, Ms. Nutan Verma – Programme Officer, Outreach and Shri Keshav Sharma – Associate, Outreach.
Kalinga University is a prestigious academic institution in Central India. For providing innovation and quality education, the University is accredited with Grade B+ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is the only private university in Chhattisgarh to feature in the NIRF rankings in the band of top 101-150 universities for the third consecutive year for 2022, 2023 and 2024. The students are trained through high quality multidisciplinary research-oriented education and skill development programs to inculcate innovation in the students as per global benchmarks and inculcate a sense of responsible citizenship along with leadership development.
The ceremony concluded with the expression of mutual commitment to achieve the objectives outlined in the MoU and to effectively implement the proposed collaborative activities.
