May Nav Samvatsara bring happiness, prosperity and joy in everyone’s life: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that under Indian culture, festivals and celebrations are determined on the basis of Mangal Tithi. From the point of view of astronomical activities, Gudi Padwa i.e. Pratipada is the first Mangal Tithi of the year. On this basis, the dates of festivals like Holi, Deepawali are determined. This Mangal Tithi is greeted by many names including Cheti Chand, Varsha Pratipada and Gudi Padwa. This is a unique tradition of ancient Sanatan culture, on this date there is an atmosphere of happiness, prosperity and gaiety all around. The Kalash installed in every house on Gudi Padwa expresses our holy soul. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that he wishes from God that the new Samvatsara of prosperity and development brings happiness, prosperity and joy in everyone’s life. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the program organized in the auditorium of the Chief Minister’s residence by the large Marathi community of the state in the context of Gudi Padwa.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was welcomed by the community by applying tilak amidst chanting of mantras and he was greeted by presenting angavastra and coconut. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was presented a traditional gudi on behalf of Marathi Sahitya Academy, Shri Sant Seva Sangh Pune, Piplani Ganesh Mandal Bhopal and Kolar Maharashtra Mandal Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also released the magazine Bhojpatra published by Madhya Pradesh Marathi Sahitya Sangh, Bhopal.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a great sacrifice for the development of Sanskrit is going on in India. This is an opportunity for the development of Sanatan, literary, cultural aspects as well as all festivals and celebrations. The feeling of Vasudev Kutumbakam is a symbol of taking everyone along and maintaining goodwill towards everyone. The government is continuously working in this direction so that the society and the government together celebrate all the festivals of Indian culture with full joy and gaiety.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that through Vikram Utsav, an effort is being made to bring various aspects of Emperor Vikramaditya’s life in front of the general public. Many principles of life management and self-respect are derived from the context of great men like Emperor Vikramaditya and Shivaji Maharaj. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while explaining the difference between festival and celebration, said that occasions on which fasts are observed such as Janmashtami, Ram Navami, Navratri, Ekadashi, Dwadashi etc. are festivals. Occasions like Holi, Diwali celebrated with good wishes and joy are festivals. It is appropriate to congratulate on festivals, but on other occasions, good wishes should be exchanged. Similarly, it is appropriate to wish good luck to a person going for examination or other such work, to express good wishes towards them. As a result of the rich vocabulary of Indian culture, there are different words for emotional expression on every occasion. Whereas where the vocabulary is limited, the same words are used to express different emotions.

Former Mayor of Jabalpur and Director of Marathi Sahitya Academy, Mr. Santosh Godbole, Dr. Abhijit Deshmukh, Mrs. Neelima Deshpande along with community members from Rewa, Indore, Bhopal, Mandal, Jabalpur and Vidisha were present in the program.
