Mass marriage is a symbol of social harmony: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that mass marriage programs are an excellent example of harmony, unity and frugality in the society. He said that marriage of many couples in the same pavilion is a symbol of social consciousness and changing thinking. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav on Thursday virtually attended the mass marriage conference held in village Rajakhedi Bajariya (Makronia) of Narayavali assembly constituency of Sagar district from the Chief Minister’s residence. A total of 1119 couples were married in the same pavilion in the mass marriage conference held under the Chief Minister Kanyadaan Yojana. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav blessed the newly married couples and wished them a happy married life. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that now mass marriages are being happily adopted by the society, which shows that there is a positive change in the mindset of our society. This is highly commendable and exemplary. He said that such marriage events reduce the financial burden of both the bride and groom and also strengthen social unity. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav made a heartfelt appeal to all that we should all adopt this progressive thinking and encourage harmony, cooperation and simplicity in the society. He said that so far lakhs of couples have been married under the Chief Minister Kanyadan Yojana. This scheme is like a boon for needy families. He told the bride and groom to take advantage of all the schemes of the government and move forward towards their bright future. Our government is concerned about everyone’s employment and everyone’s interests. Hitanand Sharma was specially present to bless the bride and groom in the video conferencing.

Khajuraho MP Vishnu Dutt Sharma, while blessing the bride and groom, said that the government has now taken the responsibility of marrying the daughters of needy families of the society. The entire government is with them in the interest of daughters. The Madhya Pradesh government has set an example in the country. Here, due to lack of money, no poor family has to take loan for the marriage of their daughter. Here, the government gets the daughters married at its own expense under the Kanyadan Yojana. From the venue, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister in charge of Sagar district Rajendra Kumar Shukla said that the Chief Minister Kanyadan Vivah Yojana is a very ambitious scheme. This has brought about a change in the society at a wide scale. While blessing all the couples, he said that today itself a total amount of Rs 6 crore 37 lakh is being transferred to the accounts of all the couples under the scheme. The organizer of the conference, Narayavali MLA Engineer Pradeep Lariya presented the outline of the program. He said that with everyone’s cooperation, a total of 1119 couples have been duly married in this mass conference under the Chief Minister Kanyadan Yojana. Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Rights Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput, MLA Sagar Shailendra Jain, MLA Bina Smt. Nirmala Sapre, MLA Banda Virendra Lambardar, other local public representatives, bride and groom and a large number of their family members were also present at the venue.
