Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said that our Sanatan Dharma wishes for happiness, prosperity and progress of all. He said that mass marriage is a powerful medium of social harmony. In a wedding, not only the bride and groom get married but two families and clans also unite. He said that it is every parent’s dream that their daughter will get better upbringing and love in her in-laws’ house than the good upbringing they gave her. It is with this belief that the daughter’s parents hand her over to the groom. Chief Minister Dr Yadav was addressing the 23rd mega mass marriage ceremony in Gadhakota of Sagar district. 3 thousand 219 couples tied the knot in this ceremony. In the ceremony, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput, Minister Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, Minister Lakhan Patel, MP Sagar Parliamentary Constituency Smt. Lata Wankhede, Damoh MP Rahul Singh, former Minister and senior MLA Gopal Bhargav, former Minister and MLA Jayant Malaiya, MLA Pradeep Laria, MLA Braj Bihari Pataria, former MLA Smt. Parul Sahu, former Minister Ramkrishna Kusmaria, former Minister Smt. Lalita Yadav, Shri Shri 108 Kishordas Ji Maharaj, District Panchayat President Hira Singh Rajput, Municipal Corporation President Vrindavan Ahirwar, District President Shyam Tiwari, District President Smt. Rani Patel, Abhishek Deepu Bhargav, Dr. Anil Tiwari, Shailesh Kesarwani also blessed and wished the newlyweds on the beginning of their married life.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that I am confident that the groom’s family will give love and respect to the daughter-in-law like a daughter. He said that in the mass marriage program organized in Gadhakota, remarriages are also taking place along with Nikah. He said that remarriage of Kalyanis is a good initiative. This is a sacred work. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav appealed to the public representatives and social workers to cooperate with him in the remarriage of Kalyanis. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is encouraging remarriage of Kalyanis, marriage of disabled people and inter-caste marriages to establish social harmony. He said that Bundelkhand is the land of heroes, the heroes of Bundelkhand have a glorious history. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated and wished the organizers for the grand ceremony of mass Kanya Vivah in the sacred land of Bundelkhand.
Chief Minister’s mass marriage ceremony is the Maha Kumbh of social harmony: Former MLA and Minister Bhargava Rahli MLA and former minister Bhargava while addressing the Chief Minister’s mass marriage/nikah ceremony said that Kanyadan is Mahadaan, one gets salvation by doing Kanyadan. He said that this program started 23 years ago will continue till the last moment of life. He said that he has a generation-old relationship with the people of Rahli. MLA Bhargava said that more than 3 thousand 219 newlyweds have taken the seven vows in the religious, social, cultural Mahakumbh today. I have had the good fortune of giving away more than 28 thousand daughters in marriage so far. He said that the process of giving away daughters in marriage will continue till the last breath of my life. He said that the Kanyadaan marriage ceremony is also working to eradicate discrimination from the society.
MLA Shri Bhargava said that I had also got my only son Abhishek Deepu Bhargava married in this Mahakumbh with couples from all classes and different castes. Similarly, I had also got my daughter married in a mass marriage ceremony. He said that it is a matter of good fortune that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav attended the ceremony and blessed the newlyweds. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also sent a message of good wishes for the newlyweds. Newly married couples were welcomed with Bundelkhandi cuisine. More than 3 thousand newly married couples along with the family and baraatis were welcomed with Bundelkhandi cuisine in the 23rd Kanyadaan Vivaah Nikah ceremony. All Bundelkhandi cuisine including mango panna, fruity, ice cream, kadhi-rice, bijora, roti, kheer, puri, papad, chutney, pickle, salad and other Bundelkhandi cuisine were served in the Kanyadaan program.
