Manendragarh BEO Surendra Jaiswal suspended, allegations of serious irregularities in rationalization of teachers
Commissioner Surguja Division took action
Raipur, June 10, 2025 – The Commissioner of Surguja Division has suspended Block Education Officer Manendragarh Surendra Prasad Jaiswal of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district with immediate effect. This action has been taken due to irregularities committed during rationalization of schools and teachers as per the instructions of the state government. According to the order issued, serious allegations like manipulation of seniority list of teachers, giving wrong information about subjects and not following cyclical rules have been leveled against Mr. Jaiswal.
Three major irregularities have been mentioned in the order in which Mrs. Gunjan Sharma was declared surplus despite being ahead in the seniority order in Madhyamik Shala Lederi. Similarly, in the primary school Chimtimar, Mrs. Arnima Jaiswal should have been considered surplus on the basis of the date of appointment, but contrary to this, Mrs. Sandhya Singh was kept in the surplus list. In the secondary school Salhi, wrong information was given about the subject of teacher Mr. Suryakant Joshi and the subject cycle was not followed.
Considering this as negligence in duty and arbitrariness, Commissioner Surguja has taken action for suspension under Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Conduct) Rules 1965 and (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules 1966. During the period of suspension, the headquarters of Mr. Jaiswal has been fixed as District Education Officer Office, Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur.
