Make preparations for the global event of Simhastha from now: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that all the Vaishnav and Shaiv saints of all the Sanyasi traditions of Sanatan Dharma come to Simhastha every 12 years and decide the direction, conduct and form of Sanatan Dharma in future. The supreme Simhastha fair is going to be held again in 2028 for the establishment of humanity. Preparations for Simhastha have already been started. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that India will lead the world through the global event Simhastha. Proper preparations are being made for this.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that out of the 12 Jyotirlingas of the country, one Mahakal Jyotirlinga Ujjain’s Mahakal Lok and the other Jyotirlinga Omkareshwar attract a large number of tourists. Madhya Pradesh is identified as Simhastha held every 12 years in the religious city of Ujjaini. The Chief Minister said that from this point of view, Simhastha is an important event for the state as well as the nation. It echoes all over the world. He said that new construction works are also being done to provide maximum facilities to the devotees and tourists coming to Simhastha. Along with this, the current facilities are also being upgraded. Preparations have to be started from now for the success of Simhastha. All these works will have to be completed in coordination with government departments and other undertakings. He said that such a plan should be prepared that the Kshipra river is completely pollution free in all circumstances and there is a continuous flow of pure water in the Kshipra river. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that about 15 crore people from all over the world are expected to participate in the Simhastha-Mahakumbh. Due to this, maintaining the traffic system in Ujjain will be a big challenge.
5 thousand 882 crore rupees have been approved for 19 works of Simhastha-2028. This approval was given in the first cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister. In the meeting, works of Water Resources, Urban Administration and Development, Energy, Public Works, Culture and Archaeology departments have been approved.
The works approved by the Cabinet Committee include construction of 29.21 km ghats worth Rs. 778 crore 91 lakh, diversion of 30.15 km Kanh river worth Rs. 1024 crore 95 lakh, construction of continuous flow of water scheme (Silarkhedi-Sewarkhedi dam) in Kshipra river for Simhastha worth Rs. 614 crore 53 lakh, construction of 14 proposed barrages on Kshipra river worth Rs. 74 crore 67 lakh, construction of 11 proposed barrages on Kanh river worth Rs. 43 crore 51 lakh, Ujjain city sewerage project worth Rs. 198 crore, construction of new EHV substation for work related to ultra high pressure worth Rs. 250 crore, ultra high pressure worth Rs. 16 crore 80 lakh. Construction of high pressure centre capacity enhancement, construction of new 33/11 KV line worth Rs. 29 crore 83 lakh, 33 KV line and inter-connection and work related to new sub-station (10 km) worth Rs. 4 crore 50 lakh, construction of KV line and inter-connection and work related to new sub-station (80 km) worth Rs. 18 crore 36 lakh and construction of underground cable work (Omkareshwar budget) worth Rs. 10 crore 8 lakh.
Similarly, construction of Shankaracharya Square to Dutt Akhara, Bhukhimata, Ujadkheda Hanuman to Ujjain Badnagar road for Rs. 18 crore, construction of Khak-Chowk, Veer Savarkar Square, Gadhkalika, Bharthari Gufa to Ranjit Hanuman road and bridge over Kshipra river for Rs. 18 crore, suspension bridge from Siddhavarkut to Kailash Khoh including protection work (construction of access road from Omkareshwar Ghat to Siddhavarkut including foot bridge over Kaveri river in Omkareshwar), upgradation and construction of existing 4 lane Indore Ujjain road to 6 lane with paved shoulder under hybrid annuity model for Rs. 1692 crore, construction work of Indore-Ujjain Greenfield 4 lane project on hybrid annuity model for Rs. 950 crore, construction, installation and necessary development work of stone statues in place of fiber statues located in Mahakal Lok Corridor for Rs. 75 crore and Kumbh Museum, time calculation research Maintenance and development work of Centre Ujjain is included.
Proposals for 568 works received for Simhastha
Additional Chief Secretary Urban Administration and Housing Mr. Neeraj Mandloi informed that so far proposals for 568 works of 18 departments have been received for Simhastha-2028, whose estimated cost is Rs 15 thousand 567 crores. These works include works of departmental, Simhastha item and BOT etc. Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation informed that the survey work for laying a new metro line from Luv-Kush intersection to Ujjain in Indore has been handed over to Delhi Rail Metro Corporation.
