Mahtari Vandan Yojana increased the joy of Teej

Raipur. Mahtari Vandan Yojana has increased the joy of Teej festival being celebrated in every village of Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai deposited the seventh installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana in the accounts of women on the occasion of Pola festival. The assistance received under this scheme made the preparations for Teej even more special for women.

Mrs. Dharana Sahu and Mrs. Ranti Sahu, residents of village Sakri in Balodabazar, happily said, “This festival of Teej has become very special for us. With the amount given to us by the Chief Minister through Mahtari Vandan Yojana, we will buy sarees and makeup items for Teej. This is a gift like brother’s affection, for which we thank the Chief Minister from the bottom of our hearts.

The festival of Teej holds a special place in the lives of women in Chhattisgarh. This festival not only strengthens familial love and bonds, but also increases the longevity of the husband and the mutual love and affection between husband and wife. This time on the occasion of Teej, two women from village Sakri of Balodabazar development block, Mrs. Dharana Sahu (niece) and Mrs. Ranti Sahu (aunt) came to their maternal home to share the happiness of the festival.

Mrs. Dharana Sahu was married to Nand Kishore Sahu two years ago. Her husband runs a grocery shop in village Jara development block Palari. There are a total of five members in the family including father-in-law, mother-in-law and a brother-in-law. At the same time, Mrs. Ranti Sahu is facing difficulties in her life. Her husband, Mahendra Sahu, died seven years ago due to illness. Ranti Sahu works as a sweeper in a private school in Kharora. Mrs. Ranti lives with her daughter in her in-laws’ house in village Mohrenga (Raipur district). His daughter studies in class 5th, while his son is studying in class 4th at his maternal grandfather’s house.

The comfort and happiness on the faces of women was clearly visible due to the additional financial help they received through this scheme. Amidst the festive spirit, this help brought a new enthusiasm for them, so that they can celebrate Teej festival with their family with even more joy.
