Madhya Pradesh will again receive rain: Red alert issued, heavy rain expected in many districts

Havoc due to continuous rain in Madhya Pradesh: Flood threat looms!-The continuous rain in Madhya Pradesh for the last few days has badly affected normal life. Many areas are flooded, rivers are in spate and roads are submerged. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in view of heavy rains, due to which there is an atmosphere of fear among the people.

Rising water level and flood threat-Due to rain, the water level in many cities has crossed the danger mark. Dams are completely filled and there is a possibility of water being released, which poses a risk of flooding in low-lying areas. Roads and bridges are submerged in water, disrupting traffic. People are very worried about their safety.

 Meteorological Department’s alert and further possibilities-According to the Meteorological Department, the trough line of southwest monsoon is passing through Madhya Pradesh and moving towards the Bay of Bengal. A cyclonic storm is also active in western Uttar Pradesh, which may increase the rain even more. Experts believe that the weather may change further from August 14, especially heavy rains are expected in eastern Madhya Pradesh.

 Highest rainfall in Sidhi district-In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall has occurred in Churhat of Sidhi district where 125 mm of rain was recorded. Katni, Rewa and Satna districts have also received heavy rains, which has disrupted life. People are facing many problems due to continuous rain.

More than normal rainfall and its effects-This year, Madhya Pradesh has received 32% more rainfall than normal. In eastern Madhya Pradesh, this figure has reached 37%, while western Madhya Pradesh has received 27% more rainfall. On one hand, while good rains have benefited the crops, on the other hand, flood-like conditions are being created, which is increasing the concern.
