National program held in Indore on World AIDS Day
Bhopal: In the presence of Union Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare Shri J.P. Nadda and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, a national event of World AIDS Day was organized in Indore on Sunday. Union Minister Shri Nadda said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a united fight is being fought against AIDS in India. Unexpected success is also being achieved in this. Committed efforts are being made rapidly to control HIV / AIDS in the country. Meaningful results are also being achieved. The rights of HIV / AIDS affected people are being protected. They are being connected to the mainstream of society. Rapid efforts have been started by the Central Government for HIV / AIDS control since 2017.
Union Minister Mr. Nadda said that everyone’s cooperation is necessary to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. HIV affected people should get human rights along with fundamental rights. There should be no discrimination of any kind against them. While respecting their rights, we should give them the same respect that we give to any other normal person so that they can live a normal life. He said that the Central Government has set Sustainable Development Goals to reduce the number of people affected by HIV/AIDS and to reduce the number of deaths. This target will be achieved by the year 2030. Union Minister Mr. Nadda appealed to all sections of the society to re-commit to achieving the target in this direction and work with new energy and vigour.
Union Minister Shri Nadda said that HIV and AIDS (Prevention and Control) Act-2017 was implemented. This Act is helping in preventing and controlling the spread of HIV/AIDS. This Act has strengthened the legal and human rights of persons infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. This Act is also an effort to protect the rights of health service providers. He said that persons affected by HIV/AIDS are being treated free of cost. India has established a new identity in the world in the field of health services, treatment, medical education. Whether it is corona management or the discovery of vaccines and medicines for the treatment of many infectious diseases, the country has become a leading position in the world. Praising Madhya Pradesh for the expansion of health services and medical education, he said that this state is leading in this field in the country. New medical colleges have been opened rapidly in Madhya Pradesh.
Madhya Pradesh tops the country in implementation of Ayushman Bharat scheme and health services
Union Minister Shri Nadda said that Madhya Pradesh is leading in the country in the expansion of medical education and health facilities and is progressing at the fastest pace. He also praised Madhya Pradesh for this. He said that new medical colleges have been opened rapidly in Madhya Pradesh, and new medical colleges will be opened in the future too. AIIMS has also been established in Bhopal. The number of seats in medical colleges has been increased. Madhya Pradesh is also leading in the country in the implementation of Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
We will achieve the global goal by the year 2028 by working in accordance with “Take the Rights Path”: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed his gratitude to Union Minister Shri Nadda for organizing this program in Indore on the occasion of World AIDS Day. He said that this event will help in achieving the global goal of ending HIV/AIDS by the year 2030 and solving the challenges by bringing together communities, youth, beneficiaries and various organizations. Our effort will be to achieve the global goal by the year 2028 by working in accordance with the UN theme, “Take the Rights Path”. Such programs will bring awareness in the society. It will help in fighting the war against HIV/AIDS. Awareness will be created in the fight against HIV/AIDS by bringing the society together.
New medical colleges are being established rapidly in the state
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the way the war against Covid was fought and success was achieved under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during the most horrific period of the century in India, the Corona period, it seems that we will also win the war against HIV/AIDS. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Modi and the Central Government for simplifying the process of opening medical colleges. He said that the simplified system has given new momentum to the work of opening medical colleges in the state. Now new medical colleges are being established rapidly in the state. Along with medical education, health services are also being expanded rapidly. In the state, treatment with other medical systems along with allopathy is also being encouraged.
At the beginning of the program, Secretary of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ms. Punya Salila Shrivastava gave the welcome speech. Principal Secretary, Public Health and Family Welfare, Mr. Sandeep Yadav expressed his gratitude.
Union Minister and Chief Minister purchased handmade items made by beneficiaries at Hunar Haat
During the event, Union Minister Shri Nadda and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also visited the Hunar Haat set up to bring people affected by HIV/AIDS into the mainstream. It showcased a variety of handmade items made by the beneficiaries. Union Minister Shri Nadda and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav interacted with the beneficiaries and saw and appreciated the handicrafts produced by them. They also purchased handmade items made by the beneficiaries. An innovative exhibition was also organized at the venue, which showcased the achievements made by NACO through its digital eco-system, community engagement, campaign-based approach. On this occasion, the theme song of NACO was released. Its original singers Dev Negi, Moko Koza and Agsi also gave a melodious rendition of this song in the program. Apart from this, inspirational stories of the beneficiaries and the transformative impact of NACO’s initiatives were showcased. Along with this, important publications were also released to further the mission of the organization. The guests also honored the beneficiaries in the program.
