Madhya Pradesh is becoming a new global growth engine: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

BHOPAL: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that we are well aware of the needs of investors. Our policy is to properly facilitate investors. Through our dedicated investor friendly 18 industrial policies, we have opened the doors of investment for everyone. Come to Madhya Pradesh, observe our policies and achievements and invest. He said that there are old relations between India and Spain. We have come here to strengthen those relations even more. We do not want only investment from here, but long-term partnership. Our government will celebrate the next year 2026 as the India-Spain Cultural Cooperation Year. Under this, art, culture, literature and film based programs will also be organized. He said that MoUs have been signed to promote film co-production between Madhya Pradesh and Spain. We have also discussed cooperation in the field of film production with the Spain Film Commission. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the Invest in MP Business Forum Meet in Barcelona on Friday, the third day of his Europe tour. On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation and Submer Technology Spain.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that just as Barcelona has presented a unique model of development through innovation, culture and economic inclusion, Madhya Pradesh, by further carrying forward the tradition of development from heritage, is now rapidly emerging as a global growth engine. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh congratulates Barcelona for giving vision to Europe. Barcelona is a city of innovations and dreams, which is blessed by Goddess Saraswati. People here want to keep their past with them. Spain also embodies Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s mantra of development along with heritage. Barcelona has shown a new path of development and innovation. He said that Madhya Pradesh is also moving ahead by gathering the trust of the world in terms of stable governance, simple processes and fast decisions.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the able leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Shri Modi, India will soon become the third largest economy of the world. India and Spain are seen standing with democratic values and innovations. There is a bilateral trade of more than 9 billion dollars between the two. There is also a big partnership in the defense sector. He said that he felt the most joy in meeting the investors in Spain. After the visit of the world’s largest cotton company ‘Inditex’ here, it was found that Madhya Pradesh’s cotton and its technology together can write a new chapter of development. While earning money, people forget human values. Inditex officials said that 30 to 40 percent green energy is being used. More than half of the total energy production in Madhya Pradesh is renewable energy. The state is taking concrete steps to produce more and more green energy. Through this, Madhya Pradesh is taking concrete steps towards establishing an ideal state for the world. Along with organic cotton, Madhya Pradesh has also increased its pace in crop production and all other areas.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Barcelona has become the uncrowned king in garments sector from Madhya Pradesh’s cotton in Inditex textile, which shows that Madhya Pradesh and Barcelona are like twin brothers. Barcelona is promoting the use of green energy. Madhya Pradesh also wants to make its top position in the country and the world in the green energy sector by distributing more than 32 lakh solar irrigation pumps to its farmers.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the population of all European countries is about 74 crores and you will be surprised that in our country, more than 80 crore people are being given free food items by the Government of India. Prime Minister Shri Modi has provided free concrete houses to people equal to the population of Spain. Here, all the basic facilities including housing, food, education are being provided to the needy people. Indian culture believes in ‘live and let live’. Quoting the lines of Iqbal, he said that there is something that cannot be erased. India is establishing new dimensions of partnership with European countries. Madhya Pradesh is also moving ahead with this spirit and is rapidly progressing towards development in food, textile, pharmaceutical, power sector and other areas. He said that today our MoU has been signed for the data center, due to which our relations have become stronger.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that our visit to Europe is not only winning the trust of the investors here but is also becoming a medium to present India’s growing global stature, Madhya Pradesh’s efficient industrial policies and our vision effectively on global platforms. Due to fast working style and leadership ability, a better environment for investment has been created in Madhya Pradesh: Shri Sundaramurthy Consul General of India in Spain, Mr. Ambasekar Sundaramurthy said in the ‘Invest Madhya Pradesh’ session that the seriousness and intensity with which the delegation of Madhya Pradesh is working is praiseworthy. He said that while business agreements take months on international forums, Madhya Pradesh has presented a new work culture by signing MoUs in the first meeting itself. Describing the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav as ‘vibrant’, he said that the basis of an effective team is its leadership, and Madhya Pradesh is an excellent example of this. He described Indore’s cleanliness, innovation and urban management as a symbol of the state’s administrative efficiency.

Shri Sundaramurthy said that Madhya Pradesh’s investment-friendly policies, law and order, and facilities like single window create an environment of trust for European investors. He clarified that India, especially Madhya Pradesh, is as safe and capable for global investment as any developed country. He said that the Indian Trade Center established in Tarragona, Catalonia will be especially beneficial for business representatives from states like Madhya Pradesh. He described the agreement between Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation and Spanish company Submar Technologies as a historic initiative in the field of digital green infrastructure.

Madhya Pradesh is the new tech hub of India: ACS Shri Dubey Additional Chief Secretary Science and Technology Mr. Sanjay Dubey said that Madhya Pradesh is emerging as the new tech hub of India. The technological progress of the country is now being determined not by big cities but by tier two cities like Bhopal and Indore and the state has a leading role in this change. The state is making progress in the renewable energy sector. It has the capacity to provide 24×7 green energy to industries, which is the biggest requirement of IT related industries. Mr. Dubey said that different policies have been implemented for IT and related sectors to increase technology based investment in the state. These policies include Drone Promotion and Usage, AVGC, Semiconductor and IT, ITS and ESDM Policy. MP Space Tech Policy-2025 will also be implemented soon.
