Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation office will be set up in Ahmedabad: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that an office of Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation will be started in Ahmedabad to speed up industrial development in Madhya Pradesh and to make the investment process in the state more convenient. The initiative to attract investment in Madhya Pradesh bore fruit in Surat where investment proposals worth more than Rs 15,710 crore have been received from investors. More than 11,250 people are likely to get employment if these proposals come to fruition. Simplicity, ease, fairness, transparency and adherence to time limits in processes are important to expand industrial and trade activities. The state government is working with full commitment in the state with all these points. Celebrating the year 2025 as the year of industry and employment, the state is moving ahead rapidly in heavy industry, MSMEs, small and cottage industries. Surat has historically been a major center of industry and trade in the country and the world. This interactive session has been organized by the state government to increase engagement with industrial groups with the aim of increasing investment and employment opportunities in the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing an interactive session organized at Hotel Marriott Surat on investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. In his address, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted the long-term vision of industrial development of the state, infrastructure expansion and the trustworthy environment created for investors.

Giving information about the geographical expansion, industrial capabilities, infrastructure and policy innovations of the state, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state’s 39 percent agricultural growth rate, human resources with the necessary skills for various industries and adequate mineral availability make the state suitable for all sectors. There is ample scope for expansion in all sectors including textile industry, pharmaceutical , health, tourism in the state. Our government has resolved that the subsidy should reach the bank account of the concerned directly through DBT. The government has done the work of sending every single rupee of their right to all small and big businessmen.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Gujarat is the leader not only in India but in the world. Recalling the contribution of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel in nation building, he said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India has become one of the leading nations of the world in just a few years. India is safe and prosperous today under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi. The grand Shri Ram temple built in Ayodhya, Mahakal Mahalok and the changed form of Varanasi are expanding the aura of Prime Minister Shri Modi. Gujarat has given the country extraordinary home ministers like Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Shri Amit Shah.

 

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the people of Gujarat have established excellence in the field of trade, industry and technology on the basis of their ability, competence and management. The people of Gujarat have created their special identity in the country and the world. Many examples of living the best life and running business and industry with minimum resources are in front of everyone. The diamonds from Panna in Madhya Pradesh are cut in Surat, Gujarat. Similarly, even though Madhya Pradesh is the cotton capital, the textile and saree industry is being run from Surat. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this interactive session has been organized with the objective of expanding the activities of the industry groups of Gujarat including Surat in Madhya Pradesh. The state government is ready to provide all possible cooperation in the expansion of industry, trade and investment activities. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav held detailed discussions with senior officials of more than 18 industry representatives/companies of textile, chemical, pharma, engineering and gems and jewellery sectors in a one-to-one meeting.

Madhya Pradesh is an ideal place with a wonderful eco-system and investment friendly environment

Principal Secretary, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Department, Shri Raghvendra Singh said that the Chief Minister has organized several programs in India and abroad to promote investment in the state and has travelled about 1 lakh kilometers so far. Madhya Pradesh, located in the center of the country, is the most beautiful and promising state, which provides a suitable eco-system for every type of industry. More than 1 lakh acres of land bank, more than 340 industrial parks and specialized clusters have been developed in the state – including IT parks, food processing, garments, plastic, textile and pharma parks. The industrial policy and logistics network here are the best in the country, which provides a strong base not only for manufacturing but also for export.

The state’s MSME policy and logistics policy have given a new impetus to entrepreneurship. The North-South Corridor, national and international expressway connectivity, 1000 million cubic meters of water supply capacity, uninterrupted power supply and subsidy ranging from 10 to 40 percent make the state attractive for investors. Investors from industrial cities like Surat in Gujarat have adopted Madhya Pradesh as their second karmabhoomi. The land allotment process is completely transparent, fast and hassle-free, giving investors the opportunity to start projects without any hindrance.

The Prime Minister’s Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister in the next two months. This park is being set up on 2 thousand acres with an investment of Rs 2 thousand crore with plug and play facility, solar plant, centralized steam boiler. Representatives of major companies of Gujarat shared their industrial experience in Madhya Pradesh. Mr. Ram Prakash Beriya, owner and founder of Millennium Baby Care and Care Fit Industries, while sharing his experience of setting up and running the industry in Madhya Pradesh, said that I have been working in Madhya Pradesh since 2016 and during this time I have realized that the industrial environment here is very positive, cooperative and policy-supported. The state government has made the single window clearance system effective. He informed that the company Millennium Baby Care Limited has invested Rs 400 crore in Indore and currently the expansion process of Rs 200 crore is going on. Apart from this, other companies of our group are also working on a plan to invest Rs 600 crore in the state.

Welspun World’s Group President Shri Chintan Thakar called Madhya Pradesh a reliable place for industry and praised the logistics and MSME policy. Torrent Power’s Director Shri Jigesh Bhai Mehta praised the excellent infrastructure and administrative activism in the state. SRK Group’s Chairman Shri Govindbhai Dholakia said that many industrialists of Gujarat consider Madhya Pradesh as their second home and they get complete convenience, transparency and confidence regarding investment here. All the speakers described the positive thinking of the Chief Minister and the administration as the basic foundation of the state’s industrial progress.

Industrialists from various industrial houses also held one-to-one discussions with Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and expressed their desire to invest and set up industries in different parts of Madhya Pradesh. The Chief Minister welcomed the investors to set up industries in Madhya Pradesh and said that the government will provide them all the necessary facilities. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the interactive session by lighting the lamp. More than 400 representatives of the industry participated in the ‘Interactive Session on Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh’ dialogue session organized in Surat. Members of Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Metaxil presented mementos to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.
