Lord Shri Ramji’s temple opened after 21 years: Naxalites had closed the temple of Lord Shri Ram

In Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, a temple dedicated to Lord Ram was reopened with the help of CRPF soldiers after 21 years. This temple, located in Keralapenda village, had been closed on the orders of Naxalites around 2003. Despite villagers’ wishes, the temple remained shut for over two decades. Recently, CRPF and Sukma police opened a new camp nearby and learned about the villagers’ desire to reopen the temple.

Responding to the villagers’ plea, soldiers from the 74th Battalion of CRPF organized a medical camp at the temple premises. Alongside medical assistance, they also helped in cleaning the temple premises. With the joint effort of villagers and CRPF soldiers, the temple doors were opened once again. Inside, there were beautiful statues of Lord Ram, Lakshman, and Sita made of marble. Additionally, there was a statue of Lord Hanuman on the temple’s pinnacle.

The villagers, filled with joy, performed rituals collectively after the temple’s reopening. They expressed their wish for the temple’s restoration, which CRPF officers assured they would initiate soon. As the temple doors opened, villagers rejoiced, dancing and celebrating their long-awaited moment of religious freedom.
