Chhattisgarh is the maternal home of Lord Shri Ram. Historical temples related to Lord Krishna are still present here. One of these ancient temples is Gokul Chandrama Haveli, which is located in Raipur Sadar Bazar. The history of Gokul Chandrama Haveli temple is about two and a half hundred years old. There is a crowd of devotees here every day to have darshan of Lord Krishna.
Temple official Meena Pandya said that the history of Gokul Chandrama Haveli is as old as it is interesting. Darshan is done here from morning Mangala to evening Shayan. Meanwhile, hundreds of devotees come to have darshan every day. After the Aarti every day, paan beeda prasad is distributed.
Every festival is celebrated with great pomp in the Haveli. Krishna Lala is served in his child form in the Haveli. Lalla is offered various types of bhog. It is believed that due to the Nidhi Swaroop Haveli, Lord Shankar comes to have darshan of Krishna Lala on the second day of Krishna’s birth. Although Krishna Lala is decorated in other temples as well, but there is heavy decoration in Gokul Chandrama Haveli. The child form of Rajadhiraj is worshipped and nurtured in the mansion.
