Liquor Shops in Uttarakhand to Stay Closed for Four Days – Find Out When They Reopen

Uttarakhand,: In Uttarakhand, due to the upcoming municipal elections, there will be a four-day dry spell. The authorities have issued orders regarding this, which means no alcohol will be served anywhere during this period. Voting for the municipal elections is set to take place tomorrow, and all necessary preparations have been made for the same. In light of the elections, liquor stores will remain closed for four days. This decision has been confirmed by the Excise Commissioner, Harishchandra Semwal, who has issued the relevant orders. Liquor shops will reopen after January 26. According to the orders, the sale of alcohol and other intoxicants will be prohibited starting 24 hours before the elections, i.e., from January 22 until the completion of the voting process. Additionally, liquor stores will remain closed on January 25, during the counting of votes. The closure will also extend to January 26, which is Republic Day.
