Lecture series on good governance will be held in memory of former Chief Minister Late Patwa

Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that former Chief Minister and Padma Vibhushan awardee Late Sundarlal Patwa gave invaluable support in the construction and implementation of many schemes including Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak. He showed strong determination in the construction of VIP road in Bhopal and got the work completed. He made a special contribution to establish good governance. Various projects will be run in memory of Late Patwa on his birth centenary year. Under this, works of lecture series based on good governance and publication of souvenir will be done. Statue of former Chief Minister Late Patwa will also be installed.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav attended the program organized on the birth centenary year of Late Sundarlal Patwa on Monday. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav went to the residence of MLA Shri Surendra Patwa and garlanded the picture of former Chief Minister Late Patwa and paid homage. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav met Late Sundarlal Patwa’s wife Smt. Phoolkunwar Patwa on this occasion and received blessings. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Late. Various creative activities will be conducted in the memory of Sundarlal Patwa for the next one year. Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah have been influenced by the work, personality and working style of late Patwa.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that late Sundarlal Patwa was associated with “Praja Mandal” and “Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh”. He became MLA for the first time in the year 1957. He continuously won the elections. He played an active role as the leader of the opposition. He undertook a padayatra of about three thousand kilometers from Bastar to Jhabua. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that my memories are associated with him. I got to learn many things from him. His confidence was higher than the peak of Mount Everest. He made his mark and reputation. He was a sharp speaker. He took care of self-study. He liked to be immersed in work. He believed that continuous attention should be paid to regional development, and apart from his constituency, one should also be engaged in public welfare works on a wide scale. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that for us politics is not a profession but a service. Late Sundarlal Patwa believed that one should keep refining oneself while doing better work in the political field as well. He was fearless, altruistic and believed in maintaining the morale of the administrative staff including the police. He had sanctioned an amount of Rs. 100 crore for the Simhastha of 1992, whereas before this, the then government had sanctioned only Rs. 1 crore for the Simhastha of 1980. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that recently medical colleges have been started in Mandsaur and Neemuch which have been named after two great leaders Late Sundarlal Patwa and Late Virendra Kumar Sakhlecha.

On this occasion, MP Shri Vishnu Dutt Sharma also paid tribute to Late Sundarlal Patwa and narrated memories related to him. MP Shri Alok Sharma said that Late Sundarlal Patwa has left an indelible mark in politics. He has made a significant contribution in the development of the state. MLA Shri Surendra Patwa said that Late. Sundarlal Patwa also implemented many schemes for the development of Bhojpur region. It is necessary that today’s generation follows the path shown by him. On this occasion, a bhajan evening was also organized in the memory of late Sundarlal Patwa.
