Leaving the gun and moving towards development: 24 hardcore Naxalites left the path of violence: Government is fully committed to the rehabilitation and revival of surrendered Naxalites – Chief Minister Sai

Raipur 23 May 2025: The positive results of Chhattisgarh Government’s effective surrender and rehabilitation policy – 2025 and ‘Niyad Nella Nar Yojana’ are now coming to the fore. In Bijapur district, 24 hardcore Naxalites carrying a total bounty of Rs 87 lakh 50 thousand have taken a historic decision to surrender and return to the mainstream of society before the security forces. Out of these, rewards ranging from ₹ 50,000 to ₹ 10 lakh were declared on 20 Naxalites. Chief Minister Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the complete destruction of red terror from the country and state is certain by March 2026. This surrender is a part of that decisive journey. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that now even the Naxalites have understood that the path of violence leads to endless destruction. Now the Naxalites are leaving the path of extremism and joining the mainstream of society. We are fully committed to the rehabilitation and revival of these surrendered comrades.
