Labor and industry complement each other, both have common interests: Labor Minister Patel

Bhopal. Labor Minister Prahlad Singh Patel chaired a meeting of the Board of Directors of the three boards of the Labor Department at Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Center on Tuesday. In the meeting, Minister Shri Patel said that labor and industry complement each other. Both have common interests. He said that the three boards are running many schemes for the welfare of lakhs of organized and unorganized workers of the state and their families.

The central and state governments have made such policies so that poor laborers can get financial help and social security. Through these schemes, workers and their families join the mainstream of development and participate in the development of the country and the state. Minister Shri Patel said that all three boards should ensure that no labor family is deprived of the government schemes.

In the meeting of the Labor Welfare Board, it was decided to give the benefit of the funeral assistance and anugrah sahayata yojna operated for the workers of the organized sector to the families of the eligible worker as well. It has been decided by all the members of the board to include parents in addition to husband-wife and children in the family members. Similarly, it was decided to provide e-tricycles to handicapped workers coming under the Labor Welfare Board. The board members agreed to increase the contribution rates payable to workers.

In the meeting of Sambal Board, Minister Shri Patel described the distribution of benefits under Anugrah Sahayata Yojana as the support of the family. Minister Shri Patel said that the intention of the government is that the workers’ family should get the full benefit of all the schemes of the government on time. Minister Shri Patel said that there is better coordination between industrialists and workers in the state. Which is the foundation of the economic development of the state. In the meeting, it was decided to run many new schemes for the welfare of lakhs of workers and construction workers of organized and unorganized sector. In the meeting, it was decided to open Shramodaya Vidyalaya in 5 new places Sagar, Rewa, Shahdol, Ujjain and Balaghat. The decision to open fully equipped workers’ rest house in 16 municipal corporations for the residence of migrant workers was also agreed upon. Now construction workers will be registered for free. Also, workers will be able to renew their registration online through the labour portal.
