Uttarakhand: Preparations for Chardham Yatra 2025 are in full swing at every level. Registrations are ongoing for the pilgrimage, which is set to begin on April 30. So far, Kedarnath Yatra has received the highest number of registrations. Now, everyone is eagerly waiting for the helicopter service bookings to open. Most pilgrims traveling to Kedarnath rely on helicopter services for a smoother journey. The booking for Kedarnath helicopter services is expected to begin in April. UCADA (Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority) has completed all necessary preparations for this. Online booking for heli tickets is likely to start in the first week of April. UCADA will soon announce the official booking dates. Like previous years, online bookings will be managed through IRCTC. Helicopter services to Kedarnath Dham will operate from Guptkashi, Phata, and Sirsi helipads. The service will be provided by companies like Pawan Hans, Himalayan Heli, Trans Bharat, Global Vectra, Thambi Aviation, Kestrel Aviation, and Aero Aircraft.
Proposed Fare for Kedarnath Helicopter Service
This year, the round-trip fare for the Kedarnath helicopter service is expected to range between ₹6,000 to ₹8,000, which is about ₹300 higher than last year. However, a final decision on the pricing is still awaited.
Ticket Cancellation & Refund Policy
- If a ticket is canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled flight, no refund will be provided.
- If canceled 48 hours before, only 25% of the fare will be refunded.
- If canceled 5 days before, 50% of the fare will be refunded.
- If canceled more than 5 days before, 75% of the fare will be refunded.
- In case of bad weather or technical issues, if the flight is canceled, the full fare will be refunded to passengers.
With these guidelines in place, pilgrims planning to visit Kedarnath Dham via helicopter can soon start booking their tickets for a hassle-free journey.
